The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a victorious and clutch performance against the Chargers. Dallas’ offense showed some signs of life by letting Dak Prescott run in the red zone for their first touchdown of the night. However, the doomsday defense once again delivered the goods to shut down Justin Herbert. Stephon Gilmore secured the final play by intercepting to wrap up the win, 20-17.
Prescott finally had one of the best outings for the 2023 season using both his legs and arms to help boost the Cowboys’ offense. However, the expectation is that the Dallas Cowboys will continue to evolve as they enter a bye week. This is at least according to Jerry Jones who expects the team to improve and reflect on the first few games of the season.
Jones said the following, “I think we do have serious room for improvement, we have that. We’re not yet the team we can be. The major limiting factor for our team to evolve and get better will be the availability of players we’re counting on. Injury, principally, is the problem. But if we can stay healthy, we will evolve and get better.”
Hold your breath, Jones can be a magician ahead of the trade deadline and make a landscaping trade during the bye week.

The Cowboys Should Evolve With Top WR Trade
Jerry Jeudy can come home soon
Jerry Jeudy may be the answer to evolve that Dallas Cowboys offense. Yes, Brandin Cooks just got his first touchdown of the season. However, Prescott is going to need more production from his wide receivers. This is especially true since CeeDee Lamb expressed his frustration in their demoralizing loss in San Franciso.
Dallas definitely needs to reload and refresh before they come back from their bye. So, the only way they can do this is by getting the former 2020 first-rounder. The Cowboys have tried getting him but made the move on Cooks as the consolation prize. However, before getting hit with another reality check when it’s too late, Dallas should be in the position to snag Jeudy.
Dallas already has their two starting receivers, Ceedee Lamb to catch deep balls and Brandin Cooks in the slot. Jeudy can play on the other side to catch those deep balls and make big-time plays to switch the momentum. Now the question begins of what Dallas will do with Michael Gallup. It might be his time up for the Cowboys after his lack of production this season.

Galluping away
Gallup remains to be the starting receiver to not have a touchdown this season. He only has 18 receptions for 204 yards. Unfortunately, it might be Gallup’s time to pack his bags to Denver. But Dallas shouldn’t feel upset at all because Jeudy could be the spark that the team is missing. It’s like finding the right candle for a birthday party, but Dallas should hold their breath before they blow it out.
This can be the case for Michael Gallup as well. Ever since his injury in 2021, he unfortunately has not been the same and maybe a fresh start might be the best thing for him. Gallup definitely still has gas left in the tank, but that’s up to Denver if they want the deal. The Cowboys should develop a sweet package that even Sean Payton can’t shy away from to help Russell Wilson.
The Sweet Deal
The Cowboys were trying to get Jerry Jeudy for the longest this year. Of course, they get settled for Brandin Cooks to ease off the pressure for Lamb. Lamb remains the main receiver but to avoid his or anyone’s frustrations spiral, Jeudy can be the final missing piece. Here’s the care package that the Cowboys can send to get Jeudy home at the Star.
Dallas can offer Michael Gallup and a fifth-round 2024 draft pack in exchange for Jerry Jeudy and a future sixth-round pick. The Cowboys are always known to be persuasive in their trades in the past which is why they were able to steal Trey Lance. This is the perfect deal and time to make this trade before the deadline on October 31st. It’s up to Jerry Jones, himself, to play his cards right to make a move quickly.
Jeudy is still young, entering his third year this season. So this is the perfect opportunity for him to start new in Dallas. If Lance was able to get picked, then there’s a high possibility that Jeudy can too. Jones is never shy from getting that attention from the league, so this is perfect for him to make that shocking move soon.
Keep on cooking up, Jerry. Feed the fans what they need to get back to the promised land. Lay the hammer because Prescott is going to need it the most to find his next prime target.
