Five weeks of NFL play are officially in the books, which means bye weeks are in full swing. Gone are the days where you could just coast by on a strong draft. Now more than ever, you’ll need to search the waiver wire for the best available defense streams. Heading into Week 6, you should set your eyes on the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Ravens, and the Miami Dolphins.
Note that in order to make this list, the defense had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you’re in smaller leagues, there may be better players available. Make sure to check your waivers to see if there are any diamonds in the rough before submitting your claims.

Washington Redskins, Baltimore Ravens Highlight Fantasy Football Week 6 Defense Waiver Wire Streams
Washington Redskins
The Washington Redskins do not have a good defense. Last week, they allowed Tom Brady and company to drop 33 points while getting just one turnover. However, they don’t need to be good to stop the underwhelming Miami Dolphins.
The Dolphins, as everyone knows, are the worst team in the league and can’t get anything going on either side of the ball. Josh Rosen is an improvement on Ryan Fitzpatrick, but he’s still not capable of carrying the least talented roster in the NFL. Rosen will get sacked and probably throw an interception or two for good measure.
Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens defense is not what it once was. After losing countless playmakers in the offseason, the Ravens are still trying to figure out how to make the most of their remaining defensive core. This unit is a work-in-progress and most fantasy football players are moving on from Baltimore’s defense. However, they still have the talent to be a solid Week 6 streamer.
Nobody is as bad as the Miami Dolphins, but the Cincinnati Bengals are a close second. Andy Dalton is only as good as the pieces around him, and he has essentially no talent to work with. Tyler Boyd and Joe Mixon are solid players, but he doesn’t have any other reliable weapons. The offensive line is in shambles, A.J. Green and John Ross are injured, and Zac Taylor hasn’t inspired much confidence during his first year running the show. The Ravens should be able to stop the Bengals’ offense and force a turnover or two.
Miami Dolphins
What happens when a stoppable object meets an easily movable object? We’ll find out when the Miami Dolphins take on the Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon. The Washington Redskins have one of the worst offenses in the league, and it doesn’t take the 1985 Bears to take the wind out of their sails. Colt McCoy did not look good in his season debut and the Redskins don’t have a single reliable playmaker outside of rookie wide receiver Terry McLaurin. If Xavien Howard can minimize McLaurin’s impact on the game, then Miami should be a decent streaming candidate.
Obviously, don’t do this unless you’re a deep league. The Miami Dolphins have one of the worst teams in NFL history, and their defense might be the worst in the league. That said, Washington’s offense is atrocious, and Miami could be a decent stream.
