Tony Romo is back, but he is not in the game. Jerry Jones opted to hand the ball back to his rookie sensation, Dak Prescott. Prescott and his Dallas Cowboys have not lost a game since week 1, but that could all change this Sunday against Baltimore.
The Ravens currently have a streak of beating every rookie quarterback they have faced over the last three years. So that brings up the ultimate question. Could Prescott’s eight game streak end this Sunday?
Could Dak Prescott’s Eight Game Win Streak End on Sunday?
Dak has been lights out so far and this is the main reason Jerry Jones decided it was better for him to get the ball. He is the head of the team and all of Dallas, including Romo, knows that. There is only one quarterback who has a longer win streak as a rookie, and that is Ben Roethlisberger.
Week one is the only blemish on this Cowboys’ season. The New York Giants ultimately persevered, winning the game by one point. From then on there were really only two games you could consider “close.” In week two, the Cowboys beat the Redskins by four and this past week they beat the Steelers by five. Other than that it has been smooth sailing, even beating the Bengals and Packers by 14, which is not easy to do.
The Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are now 5-4 with too many close game losses to count. They are ranked number one in the entire league in yards allowed per game. They also rank third in points allowed per game. It is no question that Baltimore has a tough defense. The Ravens have only allowed more than 24 points in a game twice this year, whereas the Cowboys have only scored under 24 once all season long. It all comes down to how this Cowboys offense performs on Sunday.
Predicted Winner: Dallas Cowboys
