He couldn\u2019t have done anything to stop it. Susie Wolff, CEO of Venturi racing, released a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Susie_Wolff\/status\/1471400042527346689?s=20&amp;t=QpOaJEDx7ZqeBLWcyIXA9A\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">scathing statement<\/a> of the controversy. &#8216;Robbed&#8217; sums up how she felt on the outcome at the end of the race. Michael Masi appeared to cave to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SkySportsF1\/status\/1491498128704524297?s=20&amp;t=QpOaJEDx7ZqeBLWcyIXA9A\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Red Bull\u2019s request<\/a> to change the rules.<\/p>\n<p>Several drivers have delivered their verdict on the controversies, with the general consensus that it wasn\u2019t right what happened. This news is music to the ears of anyone who\u2019s part of Team LH.<\/p>\n<p>His <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skysports.com\/f1\/news\/12433\/12426388\/lewis-hamiltons-charity-aiming-to-boost-number-of-black-stem-teachers-in-england#:~:text=Lewis%20Hamilton&#039;s%20charity%2C%20Mission%2044,improve%20diversity%20in%20the%20profession\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">unbelievable charity work<\/a> away from the track helped spark retirement rumours. There were theories he would focus on this after the season finale left him \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/sport\/formula-1\/lewis-hamilton-abu-dhabi-inquiry-25919523\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">disillusioned<\/a>\u2019 with the sport, as were many of his fans.<\/p>\n<p>Max Verstappen will defend his maiden title while Hamilton is hungry to be an eight time world champion. 2022 is set to be another rollercoaster season. The new regulations will be interesting to see how the teams have adapted.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton will be without his \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/news\/88887\/hamilton-bottas-is-the-best-teammate-i-ve-ever-had.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">best teammate<\/a>\u2019 this season. Valtteri Bottas departs Mercedes a five time Constructor\u2019s Champion. Hamilton&#8217;s new teammate, exciting Brit <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2021\/09\/08\/george-russell-joins-mercedes-from-2022\/\" target=\"_self\">George Russell<\/a> at the Silver Arrows will present them with a new look team this season. Toto Wolff has selected the lineup as he looks for an unprecedented nine titles in a row!<\/p>\n<h3>FIA Enquiry<\/h3>\n<p>Wolff has been busy this week, joining Christian Horner in London. They\u2019re finding out the results of the FIA enquiry into what actually happened in those minutes of madness at the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Masi&#8217;s decision making &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/sport\/f1-autosport\/1546386\/formula-1-news-f1-fia-abu-dhabi-grand-prix-lewis-hamilton-max-verstappen-spt\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tarnished<\/a>&#8216; the sport. Changes are needed to avoid such things happening in the future. Both Wolff and Horner left the meeting in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SkySportsF1\/status\/1493565779169751040?s=20&amp;t=d-q1b1EJUBn82CxaBGZZSQ\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">high spirits<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The FIA have released their initial report already.
