{"id":6839,"date":"2019-05-24T14:30:40","date_gmt":"2019-05-24T18:30:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/?p=6839"},"modified":"2019-05-24T14:30:40","modified_gmt":"2019-05-24T18:30:40","slug":"first-patriot-nationals-memorial-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2019\/05\/24\/first-patriot-nationals-memorial-day\/","title":{"rendered":"FERGUSON: First Patriot Nationals could become new Memorial Day Tradition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Memorial Day Weekend is something special in the <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonmotorsport.com\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">motorsports<\/a> world.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday is packed full of racing with Formula 1 at Monaco, the Indianapolis 500, and NASCAR\u2019s yearly stop at their home track in <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2019\/05\/23\/alex-bowman-coca-cola-600\/\" target=\"_self\">Charlotte<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series is trying something new and this thing could take off.<\/p>\n<h2>FERGUSON: First Patriot Nationals could become new Memorial Day Tradition<\/h2>\n<p>On Friday and Saturday, the Outlaws will take to the dirt track at Charlotte for what is being tabbed as the Patriot Nationals. The North Dakota native earned victories in both the final race of the 2018 season at Charlotte and also during the May visit to the track last season.<\/p>\n<p>Behind him &#8211; for now &#8211; is\u00a0<strong>Brad Sweet<\/strong>.
