The second race of an already wacky month of May racing in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series went ironically to a driver that is not touring with the series this season.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s something that happens often when the Outlaws make the trek to the Northeast because of how honed the drivers are at the tracks in the region.<\/p>\n

The group has earned the name of the Pennsylvania Posse across the sprint car world.<\/p>\n

Lance Dewease <\/strong>took home the first race of the Northeast swing at Lincoln Speedway on Wednesday, beating out Posse member Ryan Smith\u00a0<\/strong>and Outlaws driver David Gravel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

That will be something to keep an eye on this weekend as the series travels to Williams Grove for a pair of races on Friday and Saturday before heading to New York to race at Weedsport.<\/p>\n

WoO: Month of May continues with Outlaws vs. Posse<\/h2>\n

Dewease took two out of the three Williams Grove dates from the Outlaws last season while Giovanni Scelzi<\/strong> took the third. In the process, Scelzi became the youngest winner ever in a World of Outlaws race.<\/p>\n

This season, the Outlaws are more hungry than usual, after being shutout from a win in \u201918.<\/p>\n

Brad Sweet <\/strong>and Donny Schatz <\/strong>come into the event deadlocked in a tie for first place in the series standings. Both of the drivers earned a second-place finish at \u201cThe Grove\u201d last season as well.<\/p>\n

With those two and Gravel \u2013 last year\u2019s top three points finishers \u2013 on a roll, things could get interesting at the historic track.<\/p>\n

We can\u2019t forget about Daryn Pittman<\/a> <\/strong>who is just a handful of points behind Sweet and Schatz in his new, No. 83 Roth Motorsports ride.<\/p>\n

Making their trip back home to Pennsylvania are both of the Shark Racing drivers in Logan Schuchart <\/strong>and Jacob Allen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Schuchart has two wins already this season, but a victory at Williams Grove this weekend would be all the more sweet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
