Daniel Ricciardo <\/strong>was repeatedly asked questions about his future\u00a0<\/strong>at the Drivers Press Conference on Thursday, prior to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix<\/strong><\/a>. Specifically, his alleged agreement with Scuderia Ferrari<\/strong> to drive for the Italian squad alongside Sebastian Vettel <\/strong>in 2019.<\/p>\n

Daniel Ricciardo Denies Agreement To Drive For Ferrari In 2019<\/h1>\n

The Australian\u00a0driver was very clear about the situation.\u00a0\u201cThat\u2019s not true. I can say that.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

After his great win in Shanghai<\/strong><\/a>, there has been incessant rumours about a supposed\u00a0pre-agreement\u00a0between the driver and Ferrari. Ricciardo said:\u00a0\u201cI have only had talks with Red Bull. <\/strong>Since last year we have been open with each other.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI think through the media as well, everyone is aware Red Bull is interested in keeping me. We have had some talks regarding that. I am aware of other reports but there hasn\u2019t been anything else. They aren’t true. At least up until now, certainly not.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Loyalty To Red Bull Racing<\/h2>\n

Ricciardo has participated in 82 races with Red Bull and is a product of the team’s young driver programme. Emotions will, probably, be involved in his upcoming decision, and the Aussie explained it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will always be a bit of loyalty to Red Bull. It\u2019s been 10 years since I was in Red Bull junior team. It\u2019s a long time and they really set it all up for me to make this happen. At some point, obviously, you have to weigh up what does what. Regardless, there will always be something and I will always show love.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Ricciardo has scored 37 points in the first three races of the year and is fourth in the World Drivers’ Championship.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Azerbaijan Grand Prix is underway this Friday<\/a> with the first two practice sessions completed.<\/strong>
