Alpine<\/a> have become renowned for setting ‘five-year plans’ to secure world titles – only to fall short of their own objectives.<\/p>\n Due to the unpredictable nature of the sport, progress is rarely linear. This means that, even after debut seasons, teams will not necessarily climb the field over time.<\/p>\n With ten other outfits also aiming for titles, the road to the top is very difficult. Audi, of course, are aware of this – but still have confidence they can improve in the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n After all, it would not inspire great confidence – especially for sponsors – if Binotto downplayed Audi’s chances of success even in 2030.<\/p>\n Moreover, the factory in Neuburg is understood to have made good progress on the 2026 engine<\/a>.
