In a statement release, Suarez and Trackhouse Racing have agreed to part ways at the end of the 2025 Season.<\/p>\n<h2>Daniel Suarez and Trackhouse Racing Parting Ways After 2025<\/h2>\n<p>Not even a month after Suarez&#8217;s big win in the Xfinity Series race in Mexico City, he is announcing that he will not be returning to Trackhouse Racing. Suarez was the original driver for Trackhouse, joining the team in 2021. He scored his first win with the team at Sonoma in 2023 and his second win at Atlanta. Suarez is an Xfinity Series champion and proved he can still win in the series. Is Xfinity a realistic option for Suarez&#8217;s future? No driver reaches the top of their profession hoping to step back down. But with seats filling quickly for 2026, options are limited. Still, one opening\u2014though unlikely\u2014stands out: the Kaulig Racing No. 10 Chevrolet.<\/p>\n<p>Ty Dillon currently holds that seat on a one-year deal signed in 2024. Statistically, Suarez has the edge in performance this season: one top-five and three top-10s compared to Dillon\u2019s single top-10. However, Suarez has also recorded five DNFs, while Dillon has just one.<\/p>\n<p>Their average starting and finishing positions are nearly identical\u201424.2\/21.4 for Suarez and 23.1\/22.8 for Dillon. But context matters: Suarez races for Trackhouse, a top-tier Chevrolet team with direct technical support. Kaulig, while respectable, operates a step below, relying on Richard Childress Racing for equipment and support. From that lens, Dillon appears to be maximizing his opportunity, while Suarez hasn\u2019t consistently met expectations.<\/p>\n<p>Given that, it\u2019s likely Kaulig sticks with Dillon in the No. 10 beyond 2025.<\/p>\n<h3>Daniel Suarez Back In The Xfinity Series?<\/h3>\n<p>I think the realistic option for Suarez is to find a ride in the Xfinity Series for 2026. He just put on a master-class in Mexico City, with him taking a backup car to a win in his home country. Teams now know that he can win, and I think they will be seeking him for next year&#8217;s season.<\/p>\n<p>If Suarez doesn\u2019t find a Cup seat, a return to the Xfinity Series may be the most realistic option for 2026. His dominant win in a backup car at Mexico City reminded everyone of his ability, especially on road courses. That kind of performance puts him back on the radar for top-tier Xfinity rides.<\/p>\n<p>JGR, where Suarez won his 2016 Xfinity championship, could be a natural landing spot. The No. 19 Supra has been a weekly contender as an All-Star car. However, Chevy\u2019s development pipeline could complicate that. <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2025\/01\/09\/hendrick-motorsports-ensures-future-signs-19-year-old-corey-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Corey Day<\/a>, who is currently bouncing between Truck and Xfinity starts, is viewed as a top Chevrolet prospect and may be next in line for a full-time JRM seat, especially given his ties to Hendrick Motorsports.<\/p>\n<p>Suarez\u2019s Cup future remains uncertain, but his recent Xfinity success proves he still has something to offer.
