During this two-week break, the world of Formula 2 has always been on the alert. Starting from the press release circulated by FIA and F1, F2, and F3 in which they condemn any kind of bullying towards the drivers, probably after the insults and threats received by Alex Dunne after what happened in Monte Carlo<\/a>.<\/p>\n Furthermore, Arvid Lindblad<\/a> has been granted an extension for a super license. He is now one step closer to entering the world of Formula 1.<\/p>\n The Formula 2 championship is still long and with such small gaps in points, the round of Austria could offer some unexpected events.<\/p>\n Alex Dunne still leads the standings with three points ahead of Richard Verschoor but, being this close, everything could change in a single round. In Barcelona<\/a> Dunne managed to collect as many points as possible for himself, despite the grid penalties that made it very difficult.<\/p>\n Behind him, Richard Verschoor, after two rounds in Imola<\/a> and Monte Carlo, managed to come back close to the top of the standings thanks to two podiums achieved in Spain, including the victory in the Sprint Race.<\/p>\n Behind them is an increasingly promising Arvid Lindblad who, after the rumours of recent weeks about his future in Formula 1, is certainly reinvigorated by having to perform well on the home circuit of Red Bull<\/a>.<\/p>\n In 2024, Dennis Hauger took pole position. The driver MP Motorsport, who now races in Indicar NXT, had P1 only eight thousandths ahead of Joshua Durksen. In the sprint race, Oliver Bearman<\/a> won the first victory of the year ahead of Pepe Mart\u00ec and Paul Aron.<\/p>\n An impressive performance by the English driver and Prema Racing, who last year were going through a difficult period without a podium or victory to their name until then.<\/p>\n In the Feature Race, Dennis Hauger had to give up any aspiration for victory because of a stall before the formation lap. Bortoleto took advantage of it to win the race.<\/p>\n The favourites for a good performance this year are Jak Crawford and Joshua D\u00fcrksen.
