Struggles and Low Points for Invicta Racing During the 2025 F2 Spanish GP Weekend<\/h2>\n

Invicta Racing leaves the 2025 F2 Spanish GP weekend in Barcelona<\/a> with two points. After a good performance in Monaco, the team could do no better than seventh place with Leonardo Fornaroli in the Sprint Race. The misfortune of a Safety Car and a lack of overall pace saw the English team struggle in Spain.<\/p>\n

Leonardo Fornaroli’s Misfortune<\/h3>\n

Leonardo Fornaroli had already experienced difficulties in qualifying, where he had to settle for P10. However, due to the Reverse Grid, he achieved pole position in the Sprint\u00a0<\/a>Race<\/a>\u00a0a<\/span>nd set a goal of crossing the finish line first. His aspirations ended even before the first turn.<\/p>\n

The Italian was overtaken by Luke Browning and Jak Crawford<\/a>. Settling for third, the course of his race changed when the Safety Car was brought out a few laps from the end. While many pitted, the top three continued with their race start tyres. Those with fresher tyres overtook those in the lead.\u00a0F<\/a>ornaroli<\/a>‘s race thus ended in seventh.<\/p>\n

In the Feature Race, he started from tenth, but received a penalty due to an error at lights out. While the Invicta Racing driver did not understand the reason for the drive-through penalty, he still returned to the pits, where he fell to the bottom of the field.<\/p>\n

His weekend continued to worsen. In the final laps, he returned to the pits again, leaving with the front left of his car not properly hooked. Fornaroli had to withdraw, and Invicta Racing was fined 1000 Euros for the error.<\/p>\n

Roman Stanek Could Not Capitalise on His Qualifying Result<\/h3>\n

Roman Stanek achieved his best-ever Qualifying position for Invicta Racing at the 2025 F2 Spanish GP. The Czech driver took the team to fourth place, three-tenths behind Lindblad\u2019<\/a>s time in the lead. However, the results of the races did not give him the satisfaction he hoped for.<\/p>\n

The driver found himself in seventeenth position at the end of the Sprint Race, after being passed by faster drivers who had an evident difference in grip and pace. In the Feature Race, he failed to take advantage of the start from the second row and finished the race in eleventh, a step away from the points zone.<\/p>\n

In the European triple header, Stanek scored points twice, first in the race on Saturday at Imola and then in the feature race at Monte Carlo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Will Invicta Racing Return Stronger?<\/h3>\n

Continual race weekends across various countries are a challenge for drivers and their teams. The former must collect good results without letting problems cloud their vision, while the latter must find solutions to any issue and work on the requests of their drivers to improve their cars as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

Leonardo Fornaroli broke his points-scoring consistency in Spain<\/a>. With this, he dropped to\u00a0sixth place in the championship. Elsewhere, Invicta Racing sits sixth in the Teams’ Championship. This upcoming break will help drivers and their teams to recharge and return stronger in Spielberg.<\/p>\n
