After battling with <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2025\/04\/02\/rising-starts-to-watch-out-for-in-the-the-junior-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Rafael Camara<\/a> for most of the race, it was the Mexican driver who had the upper hand and managed to secure his first Sunday win of the season.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"584\" data-end=\"861\">Meanwhile, the Brazilian, who started on pole, experienced a performance drop in the final laps of the race and had to settle for third, behind his teammate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiaformula3.com\/Latest\/3Na5PMi1vKRvqgGHaFGCVh\/round-3-feature-race-thoughts-from-the-top-3\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Noah Stromsted<\/a>. However, the fight between the two did not end there. The Brazilian passed his opponent on the fourth lap, trying to keep him at bay as much as possible.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1452\">The Mexican remained within DRS range of the Trident driver, waiting for the right moment to launch his attack. It came after a virtual safety car for Ivan Domingues, who, on the eleventh lap, suffered contact that damaged his car, forcing him to retire from the race.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1454\" data-end=\"1879\">This short break closed the gap between Camara and Ramos, and eight laps later, the Mexican managed to overtake his opponent for the lead.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1454\" data-end=\"1879\">With three laps remaining, the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2025\/05\/08\/ferrari-unlikely-to-bring-major-updates-until-spanish-gp\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Ferrari<\/a> driver had no grip left in his tyres, and his teammate Stromsted took advantage to move into second position. The former, who won the Sprint Race yesterday, finished in sixth position after starting eleventh. He was followed by Nicola Marinangeli. For the Italian, this weekend was a disappointment, as he retired from both races.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno del Pino, after the success of the Sprint Race with his first podium of the season, had to return to the pits due to a front wing damaged in a track incident. However, the team and its drivers were unable to capitalise on their starting positions. Ugo Ugochukwu began in seventh position but finished the race in a disappointing 14th, losing seven places.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3099\" data-end=\"3353\">Next to him, one position further back, his teammate Noel Leon started and eventually dropped to 28th, finishing at the back of the field. Brando Badoer was one of the three Prema Racing drivers who struggled in qualifying, managing only fifteenth place.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3355\" data-end=\"3649\">The race was no more favourable for him, as he crossed the finish line in 19th place. <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2025\/05\/18\/2025-imola-grand-prix-verstappen-led-a-mclaren-2-3-to-victory\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Imola<\/a> is known to be a circuit where overtaking is very difficult due to the narrow track and the DRS trains.
