While she and Pin remain evenly matched in Sunday\u2019s headline races, it\u2019s in the Saturday sprint-style Race 1 where the Dutch driver has carved out her advantage, gaining nine positions across two rounds compared to Pin\u2019s six.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1356\" data-end=\"1527\">Now, for the first time in her F1 Academy career, Weug finds herself as the hunted rather than the hunter in Miami. The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2025\/04\/21\/red-bull-upgrades-set-to-ramp-up-pressure-on-mclaren\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">McLaren<\/a>-supported driver showed her racecraft in reverse-grid conditions, but it is clear she wants to win from the front, especially in Race 2. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-tt=\"{}\">Despite being a newcomer to Miami, Lloyd is not coming in blind. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-tt=\"{}\">Her Rodin Motorsport team dominated here last season with Abbi Pulling, and Lloyd now has a strong data baseline to work from. For returnees such as Weug, Pin, and Chloe Chambers, familiarity could provide an important edge, at least early on. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-tt=\"{}\">The track is a blend of long straights, tight technical sectors, and several tricky elevation changes. The Miami International Autodrome layout rewards rhythm and risk in equal measure.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Dobson Debuts with Morgan Stanley<\/h3>\n<p><span data-tt=\"{}\">American driver Ava Dobson joins the F1 Academy\u2019s grid in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1academy.com\/Latest\/1aHw2OI7pIUB0HugSsIjAJ\/ava-dobson-announced-as-f1-academy-miami-wild-card-driver\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Miami as the Wild Card entry<\/a>, backed by Morgan Stanley, the series\u2019 first financial services partner. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-tt=\"{}\">The 16-year-old Milwaukee native will race in a bespoke Morgan Stanley-branded livery and race suit, piloting the #90 Hitech TGR car on home turf. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-tt=\"{}\">Dobson, a rising talent from the Formula 4 US Championship and GB4 series, has already impressed in her 2025 campaign.
