Until 2019, the E-Prix was held every other year on a shortened variant of the Circuit de Monaco.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Who&#8217;s ready for a big month ahead? \ud83e\udd29<\/p>\n<p>It all gets underway at the <a  href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/MonacoEPrix?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#MonacoEPrix<\/a> this weekend! \ud83d\ude4c <a  href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/rRhKgHdJCu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/rRhKgHdJCu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Formula E (@FIAFormulaE) <a  href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FIAFormulaE\/status\/1917609895542632636?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">April 30, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>This weekend, which is a challenging one compared to traditional circuits and their race weekends, will allow teams and drivers to collect more points.<\/p>\n<h3>What Maserati is Looking For<\/h3>\n<p>This is precisely what the Maserati aspires to, after a difficult race in Miami. In the fifth round, the Monegasque team did not get a single point, with <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2024\/12\/31\/stoffel-vandoorne-the-formula-e-rising-after-the-experience-in-f1\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Stoffel Vandoorne<\/a> finishing fourteenth and Jake Hughes forced to retire.<\/p>\n<p>During the first five rounds, Maserati had collected a single podium up to <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2025\/02\/18\/maserati-msg-racing-gain-key-championship-points-in-jeddah\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Jeddah<\/a>. Hughes climbed the third step at the end of the fourth round of the season.<\/p>\n<p>The team has shown itself in a strategic area, an element also seen in Miami before Hughes&#8217; DNF. In Monaco, their strategy will be crucial.<\/p>\n<p>The race in Monte Carlo will see the return of the Pit Boost, or mandatory pit stops that will allow drivers to use additional energy.<\/p>\n<p>While the Pit Boost will be present in the race on Saturday, in Race 2, teams and drivers will face the traditional format. The team and its lineup will give their best to fight for the podium.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, Vandoorne, Formula E World Champion, is in search of a comeback after a difficult start to the season. The British driver has collected 27 points and is ten points behind <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2025\/02\/21\/maximilian-guenther-career-how-the-german-arrived-in-formula-e\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Maximilian Guenther<\/a> from DS Penske, in fifth place with 37. The drivers&#8217; championship sees <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2024\/12\/02\/formula-e-how-oliver-rowland-became-nissans-winning-choice\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Oliver Rowland<\/a> on top with 69 points.<\/p>\n<p>Stoffel Vandoorne had a rough start to the season and is in 14th place. The Belgian World Champion has accumulated 16 points during the first five rounds of Season 11. Vandoorne has the same points as Sam Bird from McLaren. In 12th position, there is Lucas Di Grassi with 18.<\/p>\n<p>The teams&#8217; championship sees Maserati in sixth position. The Monegasque team has 43 points and is behind Mahindra, in fifth place with 51. At the same time, Maserati needs to watch its back from Andretti, who sits in seventh position with 43 points.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2025\/01\/10\/formula-e-porsche-in-mexico-in-search-of-a-comeback\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Porsche<\/a> is on top of the standings. The German team has collected 105 points during the first rounds of the season. Behind them are Nissan with 80 points and McLaren with 67.<\/p>\n<p>Maserati is not a constructor, but a Stellantis client. For this reason, the team does not appear in the manufacturer standings.
