That driver is Corey Lajoie. His plans up until now were pretty much unknown. Lajoie went from piloting the No. 7 Chevy for Spire Motorsports to a ride swap with Justin Haley and<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2024\/12\/17\/track-legend-tabbed-by-rick-ware-racing-for-clash-at-bowman-gray\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\"> Rick Ware Racing&#8217;s<\/a> No. 51 during last season&#8217;s final seven races. That certainly seemed like he would be the full-time driver for RWR this season.<\/p>\n<p>As it turned out Cody Ware is back for that No. 51 car full-time, so it again left Corey without a full-time opportunity. Well, LaJoie has some news. Yes, he will drive in 2025, but it isn&#8217;t a full-time gig.<\/p>\n<h2>Corey LaJoie Announces His 2025 Plans<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nascar.com\/news-media\/2025\/01\/27\/corey-lajoie-to-run-partial-cup-series-schedule-for-rwr-joins-prime-video-as-analyst\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">According to Dustin Albino from NASCAR.com<\/a>, Corey had plenty of options to pick from for this season, but he ultimately chose a route that would put him in a new position.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Nothing else. <a  href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/stackingpennies?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#stackingpennies<\/a> <a  href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YkMbnHtguZ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/YkMbnHtguZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Corey LaJoie (@CoreyLaJoie) <a  href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CoreyLaJoie\/status\/1883901038253703230?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">January 27, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Corey will be partaking in a limited cup schedule for Rick Ware Racing driving the No. 01 while creating the Stacking Pennies Performance Brand. That isn&#8217;t his only job this season, as he will also serve as an analyst for Prime Video&#8217;s five-race slate beginning at the Coca-Cola 600 in May. LaJoie talked about the opportunity with Albino.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; The Amazon piece is one of the reasons why this year is going to look a little bit different,&#8221; LaJoie said. &#8221; When those guys were pursuing me towards the end of last year, I felt like there were things that were materializing in my life and doors that were opening from the Lord to allow me to see that there are other things that I can do outside of being a full-time Cup driver. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It had been an up-and-down career to this point. It&#8217;s not like Corey didn&#8217;t have opportunities it&#8217;s just that a lot of bad luck and unfulfilled moments. The guy did have two <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2024\/08\/22\/nascar-flip-over-crashes-continue-to-evolve\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">scary flip-over crashes in 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>LaJoie also didn&#8217;t want to get in team owner Rick Ware&#8217;s way of putting his son Cody full-time in 2025. So because of his popular podcast&#8217;s name and the fact that the value of a penny is 1 cent.
