The 2025 racing season is officially here. All eyes will be on the World Center of Racing, as the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona is ready to kick off the 2025 motorsports season. One of the biggest endurance races of the year, that brings the best racers from around the world. From IndyCar stars<\/a>, and former Formula One races, to some of NASCAR’s best. This race and event has always been a bucket list event. Sure the NASCAR entry list at this year’s Rolex 24 doesn’t have a huge amount. Only a couple of NASCAR Cup drivers are on the list of entries this year. Shane van Gisbergen<\/a> and Austin Cindric will be among the many drivers in the field<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With those two looking to win the Rolex for the first time and the action kicking off on Saturday, now is a good time to look back at some of the NASCAR drivers and legends who were fortunate to claim a win in the Rolex 24.<\/p>\n

NASCAR Drivers Who Have Won The Rolex 24<\/h2>\n

AJ Foyt-<\/h3>\n

Sure AJ Foyt is synonymous with all racing. The former Daytona 500 winner and four-time Indy 500 Champion claimed two wins in the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The first came in 1983, and he followed it up with a victory in\u00a0 1985.<\/p>\n

John Andretti –<\/h3>\n

Sure the Andretti surname is synonymous with open-wheel racing, but the late John Andretti, the nephew of the legend Mario Andretti. John made a name for himself in NASCAR. But before he ever stepped foot behind the wheel of a stock car at Daytona, John was able to win at the 1989 Rolex 24 at Daytona behind the wheel of a Porsche 962.<\/p>\n

Mark Martin-<\/h3>\n

The NASCAR Hall of Famer, who found ways to win nearly everything at Daytona except the Daytona 500. Celebrated in victory lane as an overall winner of the Rolex 24 in 1995.<\/p>\n

Jamie McMurray-<\/h3>\n

Chip Ganassi Racing has always been a powerhouse when it comes to the Rolex 24 at Daytona. That was no different in 2015 when the team paired its two NASCAR Cup drivers McMurray and Kyle Larson with IndyCar champions Tony Kanaan and Scott Dixon. The four cruised to victory that year. Not bad for a Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400 winner.<\/p>\n

Kyle Larson-<\/h3>\n

The 2021 NASCAR Cup Champion, famously won the Rolex 24 in 2015. Sure he hasn’t partaken since, but winning the overall race coming off his rookie season in the NASCAR Cup Series wasn’t a bad start.<\/p>\n
