All the drivers lined up for three races this weekend in Yas Island.

The sixth round of the season in Qatar saw Abbi Pulling confirming her dominance in the series with the British driver being named 2024 champion after winning Race 1.

However, the following race was deleted as the repairing of the barriers damaged by a Porsche took longer than anticipated.

So, in the Emirates, Susie Wolff’s girls had one more race to go, with a third race added to the Abu Dhabi schedule.

The fight for the Championship was still on, with Maya Weug and Doriane Pin fighting for second place.

But all eyes were on Abbi Pulling, waiting for her to re-confirm her Title.

Broken records

On Saturday morning, F1 Academy was on the track for Race 1, anticipated to fit the added race in the afternoon.

At lights out, Chloe Chambers overtook Pulling, but she lost control of her car and spun. The American then received a five-second penalty for unsafe entry back onto the track.

In the meantime, Pin climbed from the fifth to the third position, fighting against Emely De Heus.

Maya Weug and Nerea Marti went wheel to wheel for sixth position, but the Ferrari liveried car struggled on the track.

Another fight was happening behind for the final spot in the point zone.

The duel was between Lola Lovinfosse, Tina Hausmann, Chloe Chambers and Aurelia Nobles. The Aston Martin liveried car had the upper hand, but Hausmann made contact with Lovinfosse, receiving a penalty.

In the last four laps, Pin got closer to Hamda Al Qubaisi but was unable to make a move stick.

Al Qubaisi had an incredible race. finishing on the podium, and the same can be said for her sister Amna in P8. The two became the first Emiratis to score points on home soil after their father 13 years ago.

Abbi Pulling won her eighth race in the season, confirming her Title. This represented a new record of wins in the series.

Race 1 results:

Abbi Pulling

Hamda Al Qubaisi

Doriane Pin

Emely De Heus

Bianca Bustamante

Nerea Marti

Maya Weug

Amna Al Qubaisi

Carrie Schreiner

Chloe Chambers

Tina Hausmann

Aurelia Nobels

Lia Block

Lola Lovinfosse

Logan Hannah (WILD CARD)

Jessica Edgar

READ MORE: 2025 F1 Academy Lineup: Lia Block Re-signs with Williams

Extended records

At the start of Race 2, Abbi Pulling defended with force on Chambers. They fought for the whole first lap until the Haas driver managed to take the first position capitalising from Pulling’s blockage.

The battle between Lola Lovinfosse and Carrie Schreiner resulted in contact between the two, with the Sauber retiring. The French driver received a ten-second penalty for the collision.

But the real show was at the front with Pulling and Chambers. The Alpine liveried Rodin was 8 seconds behind and was fighting hard to gain her 9th race win.

Behind her, Hamda Al Qubaisi confirmed her good race pace. Behind the RB liveried car was Doriane Pin.

Unfortunately, the other Al Qubaisi sister, Amna, was slapped with a ten-second penalty for overtaking outside the track. This compromised her whole race despite her good pace.

Another driver received a penalty Lia Block for a false start while Weug and Marti kept fighting just like in the first race.

Out front, Abbi Pulling was able to overtake the Haas liveried Campos thanks to Chambers’ mistake and became the new leader of the race.

After Lovinfosse’s crash in the barriers, the race ended under Safety Car. Pulling set a new record for victories in F1 Academy, a record that was first set by 2023 champion Marta Garcia.

Race 2 results:

Abbi Pulling

Chloe Chambers

Hamda Al Qubaisi

Doriane Pin

Maya Weug

Nerea Marti

Bianca Bustamante

Emely De Heus

Tina Hausmann

Amna Al Qubaisi

Lia Block

Logan Hannah (Wild Card)

Aurelia Nobels

Jessica Edgar – DNF

Lola Lovinfosse – DNF

Carrie Schreiner – DNF

YOU MAY ASLO LIKE: Nissan-Powered Teams Face Overpower Challenge in São Paulo

Curtains closed

Abbi Pulling had a good start immediately defending against Chambers and Pin who also had great launches off the line. The battle resulted in a contact between the Haas-sponsored driver and the Mercedes-sponsored driver with the two colliding.

With Chambers and Pin dropped to the back of the grid, Pulling had a better chance of solidifying her leadership.

But the new 2024 F1 Academy Champion did not have enough pace to build a healthy gap to those behind her. Behind her, Weug and Hamda Al Qubaisi went wheel to wheel for the second position and attacked Pulling.

The Ferrari-sponsored driver looked the faster of the three and eventually became the new race leader. Pulling had to defend her second place from the Red Bull-backed Al Qubaisi sister, who raced hard to attack her.

Meanwhile, Chambers had a ten-second penalty for the contact at the start with Pin. The French driver climbed TO P11, in the meantime.

Behind the top three, Lia Block showed good pace and was able to overtake Nerea Marti, allowing the Williams driver to fight for the podium.

On lap 12, Hamda Al Qubaisi spun and lost her second position, presenting a good opportunity for Block, but unfortunately for her, she was penalised for overtaking Emely De Haus outside the track.

Block received another penalty for the contact with Al Qubaisi, her race quickly turning sour.

On lap 13, the Safety Car came on the track, leaving us with just one lap of racing.

At the restart, Maya Weug took the lead from Abbi Pulling and won the race.

The other Al Qubaisi sister, Amna, had a ten-second penalty for overtaking off-track.

Race 3 results:

Maya Weug

Abbi Pulling

Nerea Marti

Tina Hausmann

Jessica Edgar

Doriane Pin

Carrie Schreiner

Lola Lovinfosse

Aurelia Nobles

Emely De Heus

Hamda Al Qubaisi

Logan Hannah

Amna Al Qubaisi

Bianca Bustamante

Lia Block

Chloe Chambers

As the curtain falls on an unforgettable season, anticipation already builds for 2025, with the series poised to deliver even more action and talent in its growing journey.

READ NEXT: F1 Academy Expands Grid for 2025 Season

F1 Academy says its goodbyes in Yas Marina with an added race, exciting battles and Abbi Pulling as the new Champion.
