Vasseur points to Vegas as he dismisses Hamilton concerns<\/h2>\n

The last few weeks have seen relations between Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes steadily worsen.<\/p>\n

Despite being the sport’s most successful driver-team partnership, things are ending on a sour note.<\/p>\n

Hamilton has become increasingly frustrated<\/a> with this W15, painting an increasingly dejected figure in media interviews.<\/p>\n

The 39-year-old’s scepticism can be traced back to the first months of the season:<\/p>\n

In any case, the British driver is experiencing one of the worst patches of his career.<\/p>\n

Considering that he will face Charles Leclerc next season, some have questioned how Hamilton will perform next year.<\/p>\n

Ferrari’s Fred Vasseur makes clear that he is completely unconcerned about 2025:<\/p>\n

“Not at all. Have a look at the 50 laps he did in Vegas,”<\/em> crash.net<\/a> quotes him as saying.<\/p>\n

“Starting in P10, finishing on the gearbox of Russell – I’m not worried at all.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Vasseur’s comments touch upon one of the most perplexing aspects of the last twelve months at Mercedes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For both drivers, but especially Hamilton, there have been immense highs and lows in their performance.<\/p>\n

Inconsistency has characterised the Brackley team’s results for several years now, though it must be said 2024 has been a step forward.<\/p>\n

For Lewis Hamilton, an initially controversial decision to join Ferrari is now seen as a necessary change.<\/p>\n
