His involvement in the 2018 WRC season has been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>The official release was that he will drive in 7 of the 13 scheduled rally&#8217;s this year. This leaves Paddon having to share the drive of the third entry. That will see Dani Sordo open the campaign in Monte Carlo&#8211;on his favoured asphalt surface&#8211;with Paddon then assuming the wheel in Finland.<\/p>\n<p>And the\u00a0Hyundai WRC Rally team\u00a0are focused more on &#8216;beginning the season&#8217; on a positive note in Monte Carlo.\u00a0Neuville has spent time testing the new 2018 i20, and the impression is that it will be very competitive.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/r4KXv1qq17M?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>Opening\u00a0Rallye Monte-Carlo Set for January 25<\/h3>\n<p>In less than two weeks time, the\u00a02018 FIA World Rally Championship rolls into Monte Carlo, for the traditional opening round. The five-time champ will be challenged as usual, but having won the last four straight-Monte Carlo rally, he is the figure all others wish to better.<\/p>\n<p>The four major <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wrc.com\/en\/wrc\/championship-standings\/drivers-&amp;-teams\/page\/4171-94---.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2018 WRC manufacturers<\/a> must be fully prepared by Jan 25, as they roll out of the famous <em>Casino Square<\/em>.
