Friday\u2019s K&N East-West Showdown at Iowa Speedway<\/strong> was the Todd Gilliland<\/strong> show, to put it simply.<\/p>\n

Gilliland lead 148 laps in route to his seventh K&N Pro Series win of the season.<\/p>\n

Todd Gilliland dominates K&N East-West Showdown<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Gilliland\u2019s win was his second straight East-West showdown victory and the No. 16 car\u2019s fourth win in a row at Iowa Speedway.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s huge for Bill [McAnally],\u201d Gilliland said. \u201cHe\u2019s got all the trophies in the main entrance way of the shop. It\u2019s obviously a really special place to Bill McAnally Racing<\/strong> right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gilliland had the fastest car on the track, and it wasn\u2019t close. His only competition all night came from Ben Kennedy,\u00a0who would be penalized for not maintaining pace under caution in the last 20 laps.<\/p>\n

Kennedy was sent to the back and would finish 7th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Behind Gilliland, Chase Purdy<\/strong> held off Chris Eggleston<\/strong> and Harrison Burton<\/strong> to finish second, while the latter two finished third and fourth respectively.<\/p>\n

The K&N Pro East Series will now go to Watkins Glen on August 4, while the K&N Pro West Series travels to Douglas County on August 26.<\/p>\n

Gilliland\u2019s victory moves him to just six points behind Harrison Burton for first place in the K&N Pro East Series with four races to go.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt helps us catch up to Harrison Burton (on the East) and also pull away from Chris Eggleston (in the West),\u201d Gilliland said. \u201cThe finishes are really coming in right now, so we just need to keep the momentum rolling.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
