“It’s a great way to start the season<\/em>,” Cassidy said, acknowledging the strong start. “There’s a long way to go, but you always want to start in a nice way<\/em>.”<\/p>\n Looking forward to the bustling streets of San Paolo, Cassidy expects a race unlike the Diriyah doubleheader. “Everyone starts from zero [in San Paolo],” he emphasized. “It should be a great race again, you know, more passing opportunities than we’ve seen in the first two races<\/em>.” This openness for overtaking could play to Cassidy’s strengths, as he thrives in races with more strategic maneuvering.<\/p>\n While his focus is firmly on securing another podium for the Brazil E-Prix, Diriyah held a special significance for Cassidy beyond the win. It marked his 50th race in Formula E, a milestone few drivers achieve. “They’re all pretty special,” he said of his races, mentioning his first win in New York and last year’s victory in Monaco as particularly memorable moments.<\/p>\n “New York was something pretty crazy<\/em>,” Cassidy elaborated. “Winning the race with no corners left on the car was interesting<\/em>. Monaco last year was pretty special to<\/em>o. And this victory <\/em>[in Diriyah] was amazing.<\/em>“<\/p>\n Cassidy’s success can also be attributed to his smooth adaptation to the Jaguar car. “The most important thing has been the team’s approach to me,”<\/em> he said, highlighting their welcoming and supportive environment. “They’ve certainly welcomed me with open arms and given me a lot of freedom, which I couldn’t have asked for anything more. And that’s made me feel pretty comfortable.”<\/em><\/p>\n He also emphasized the strong working relationship he has built with teammate Mitch Evans. “He’s super fast, as we all know, so he’s gonna have his time when many races this year as well,”<\/em> Cassidy said of Evans. “And he gets up a bit earlier than me and collects coffees, which is just perfect.”<\/em><\/p>\n Cassidy also spoke about his journey in adapting to the car, revealing some initial challenges. “It’s an interesting one, because we topped the Valencia tests,<\/em>” he said. “And I thought, ‘Wow, I feel really good.<\/em>‘ And so I went to Mexico<\/a>, actually with a lot of confidence. And I was really shocked with my feeling at that weekend.
