The three-time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Supercars<\/a> champion will rejoin Trackhouse Racing when the Cup Series visits the Indianapolis road course next month.<\/p>\n<p>Series regulars will be feeling slightly more comfortable in Indianapolis than they were in Chicago. The street circuit was a brand-new track for every driver in the field that day. Van Gisbergen even held a slight advantage with his experience racing street circuits in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>This time around Cup Series drivers will hold onto a slight advantage having raced the Indy road course the previous two seasons. Kostecki, like van Gisbergen, joins from the Supercars Championship. Kobayashi currently races in both the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiawec.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">World Endurance Championship<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/superformula.net\/sf2\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Super Formula<\/a> in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Having won at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2023\/02\/01\/imsa-5-takeaways-from-the-rolex-24-hours-at-daytona\/\" target=\"_self\">Rolex 24 at Daytona<\/a>, and multiple world championships Kobayashi is regarded as one of the best sports car drivers in the world.
