The third race of the F2 Championship gets underway as we travel down under for the inaugural race at the historic Albert Park circuit.<\/h3>\n

As we enter the third round of the championship, the title battle couldn’t be tighter between veterans Ralph Boschung and Theo Pourchaire. However, this weekend won’t be an easy feat for the 21 drivers as they enter a brand-new venue in Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia. Kush Maini currently leads the race in his hunt for the Anthoine Hubert Award<\/a> as he sits in ninth, with Victor Martins just one point behind after he stormed through the field in Jeddah during the Sprint Race.<\/p>\n

New track<\/h3>\n

Although this is the first time Formula 2 will race on the streets of Melbourne, it’s not the first for sport as Formula 1 has been racing there since 1985. With only 12 corners and 2 DRS zones and a length of 5.27 km, it’s one of the shorter tracks on the calendar.<\/p>\n

Drivers will be looking to utilize their 45-minute practice session as they build data. The Sprint Race will be 23 laps while the Feature will be 33.<\/p>\n
