{"id":13854,"date":"2023-02-23T12:00:04","date_gmt":"2023-02-23T17:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/?p=13854"},"modified":"2023-02-23T11:02:24","modified_gmt":"2023-02-23T16:02:24","slug":"f1-academy-2023-calendar-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2023\/02\/23\/f1-academy-2023-calendar-revealed\/","title":{"rendered":"F1 Academy 2023 calendar revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>F1 Academy has announced its 2023 calendar for the inaugural season with seven rounds taking place between April and October.<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2022\/11\/19\/new-all-female-feeder-series-in-the-works-f1\/\" target=\"_self\">F1 Academy<\/a> was launched last November with an aim of being an all-female racing series and the goal of helping them get into Formula 2 and 3. With a number of drivers already confirmed, the series has now revealed its 2023 calendar for the inaugural season.<\/p>\n<h3>What&#8217;s confirmed?<\/h3>\n<p>The series has already confirmed six drivers. The cars will be Formula 4 Tatuus T421s that will use 165bhp Autotecnica engines and use Pirelli tires. Aside from racing in Austin, the rest of the season will take place across Europe.<\/p>\n<h3>Race Weekend Format<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Two Practice sessions &#8211; 40 minutes each<\/li>\n<li>Two Qualifying sessions &#8211; 15 minutes each<\/li>\n<li>Three races: Race 1 and 3 (30 minutes), Race 2 (20 minutes)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Race 2&#8217;s order will be determined by the first eight finishers of Race 1, with the grid being reversed.<\/p>\n<h3>Points system<\/h3>\n<p>F1 Academy will host three races in each round, a total of 21.
