Following yesterday&#8217;s announcement of <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/motorsports\/2022\/12\/02\/2023-formula-3-driver-lineup-oliver-goethe-to-trident\/\" target=\"_self\">Oliver Goethe<\/a>, Trident has added 2022 Formula Regional European Championship (FREC) driver Leonardo Fornaroli. He is the tenth driver to be announced for next year&#8217;s grid.<\/p>\n<h3>The 2022 FREC season<\/h3>\n<p>Fornaroli began his 2022 participating in nine races of the Formula Regional Asian Championship (FRAC). After scoring twenty-two points and finishing seventeenth in the standings, he joined Trident for a full season in FREC. Fornaroli finished eighth in the standings with eighty-three points. This was Fornaroli&#8217;s second year of single-seater racing after making his debut in the Italian F4 Championship in 2020 where he finished ninth.
