With Filipe Albuquerque and Ricky Taylor on the sticks, the #10 has taken four victories on the season and looks to be the favorite going into Petit Le Mans. Both teams have one hand on the cup, and it’s anyone’s guess who takes it come podium time in Atlanta.

LMP2/LMP3

The LMP2 and LMP3s share the track once again. In LMP2 the #52 PR1 Mathiasen Motorsport leads the championship with the #8 Tower Motorsport squad right in tow. Both cars have been fierce competitors on track all season and with a championship on the line we should expect nothing less this weekend.

The LMP3 championship sees the #54 Core Autosport entry firmly in the lead with almost a hundred points between them and the #74 Riley Motorsport machine. LMP3 has been a consistent wild card all season, so a firm eye should be held on the nine LMP3 machines throughout the 10 hours.

GTD

GTD PRO sees the #9 Pfaff Motorsport entry continues its championship defending season by going into the season finale in the firm class championship lead ahead of the #3 Corvette. The boys in plaid look to wrap up the championship in Atlanta with another class victory.

GTD also features some close championship implications. With the #27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin in the championship lead by only a hair, a storming #32 Team Korthoff garage will try its due best to secure the championship in Atlanta coming from a short P2 in the championship.

How to Watch

The 2022 IMSA season finale has all the makings of a memorable and exciting championship finish, and the threat of weather very much on the horizon, it is truly anyone’s game. The 10 hours at Petit Le Mans kicks off at 12:10 PM EST on NBC and Peacock.

Featured Image Credit: Michael L.
