Call in sick, tomorrow, if you still have days off.
NASCAR postponed Sunday’s YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, due to relentless rain. It now starts Monday at 1 p.m. ET.
NBCSN carry the television broadcast, while MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio carry the radio broadcast.
It’s the fourth Cup Series race postponed, this season, and first since Martinsville in April.
Rain pelted the track all morning, but let up by race time. The cars rolled onto the grid, fired engines and turned a few pace laps. Just as the field made its pit speed lap, however, the sky opened up. Thus, NASCAR brought the field back down pit road and postponed it.
Denny Hamlin will lead the field to green, Monday.
