ESPN<\/a>, like every other sports media company, is eagerly anticipating when NBA legend LeBron James<\/a> will decide in terms of the future of his career. Recently, the 22-time NBA All-Star informed the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> that he did not intend to re-sign with them. However, he is planning on playing what many expect will be his final NBA season in 2026-27.<\/p>\n

The burning question, of course, is what team will be able to lure the four-time MVP and NBA Champion to their city. There has been some serious buzz about the Miami Heat, one of James’ former teams, especially after they acquired two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo<\/a> in a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Some think James may choose to end his career where it began, with his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Obviously, James has nothing left to prove in his career. The league’s all-time leading scorer, he is believed by many to be the best basketball player of all time.<\/p>\n

That being said, King James is not going to play for just anyone. He would like to compete for another championship. ESPN contributor David Dennis Jr. thinks that signing with the Golden State Warriors and teaming up with Steph Curry would be a “beautiful” way to end his career:<\/p>\n
