With the 2026 Major League Baseball season already underway, ESPN is about to start their new schedule of Wednesday night contests and select games thoughout the season.\u00a0 Instead of using just one crew like they did for years when they were the home of Sunday Night Baseball, they are instead going to three different play-by-play broadcasters.<\/p>\n
Jon “Boog” Sciambi, long a mainstay of baseball broadcasts on both television and radio for ESPN and the voice of Chicago Cubs baseball on the Marquee Sports Network, will be joined by veteran ESPN broadcasters Karl Ravech and Mike Monaco as the network’s play-by-play broadcasters.\u00a0 Joining them in the booth will be analysts Eduardo Perez, David Ross, Doug Glanville, Jessica Mendoza and Todd Frazier.\u00a0 In addition, the network announced former Rockies, Yankees, Red Sox, and Mets reliever Adam Ottavino has been hired as a game and studio analyst.\u00a0 Ottavino, who appeared on ESPN during the 2025 Winter Meetings,\u00a0 is scheduled to make his debut on May 7 when the San Diego Padres take on the St. Louis Cardinals.<\/p>\n
Buster Olney returns as ESPN’s in-game reporter, with Jeff Passan continuing as the network’s senior MLB insider providing breaking news coverage.<\/p>\n
ESPN will also air the Dodgers-Mets broadcast April 15 from Dodger Stadium.\u00a0 On the call that day will be Monday Night Football voice and former Fox baseball broadcaster Joe Buck, joined by Mets color analyst Ron Darling and Dodgers color commentator Orel Hershiser, and Olney as in-game reporter.\u00a0 The network will also host Baseball Tonight from the venue, with Ravech, Perez, Glanville, and Tim Kurkjian.<\/p>\n
On the radio side, Major League Baseball will continue on ESPN Radio, with Ravech, Sciambi, Roxy Bernstein, Mike Couzens, and Anish Shroff all serving as play-by-play.\u00a0 Glanville will be the network’s lead radio analyst and Kurkjian will also contribute.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
