This blockbuster month packs three massive sports events: the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics (February 6-22), Super Bowl LX on February 8, and the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend (February 13-15).<\/p>\n

Building on Peacock’s renowned live streaming capabilities, these new tools promise fans unprecedented control, immersion, and engagement, especially on mobile devices.<\/p>\n

What are they doing?<\/h2>\n

At the heart of the announcements are two groundbreaking features: Rinkside Live and Courtside Live. These first-of-their-kind offerings are tailored for mobile viewing, allowing users to switch seamlessly between multiple curated feeds of alternate angles and behind-the-scenes perspectives\u2014all while maintaining access to the primary broadcast.<\/p>\n

As Jim Denney, Chief Product Officer for Global Streaming and NBCUniversal Media Group, explained: \u201cGiven NBCU\u2019s breadth of marquee sports this February, we\u2019re offering Peacock users new, fun ways to engage and watch on their terms, with unprecedented access to moments they\u2019ve never seen before and stand-out audio and picture quality. From behind-the-scenes access as athletes prepare for competition to unique perspectives, Rinkside Live and Courtside Live put fans in control and take them deeper into the sports they love to celebrate, and the culture and stories that surround them.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Peacock<\/a> serves as the ultimate streaming destination in the U.S., delivering thousands of hours of coverage through a dedicated hub designed for both die-hard enthusiasts and casual viewers.<\/p>\n

The standout addition is Rinkside Live, enhancing ice hockey and figure skating with fresh, immersive viewpoints.<\/p>\n

On mobile, fans can select from specialized cameras during key events.<\/p>\n

For figure skating, options include the \u201cCoaching Cam,\u201d providing intimate views of the skater\u2019s coaching zone, and a \u201cTraining Room\u201d cam capturing the raw emotion and preparation of athletes.<\/p>\n

Ice hockey enthusiasts get the \u201cBench Cam,\u201d fixed on team benches to highlight reactions, rivalries, and goal celebrations.<\/p>\n

A \u201cHighlights Hub\u201d will also deliver vertical video playlists of top moments for quick catch-ups on mobile.<\/p>\n

On larger screens (TV and web), these angles appear in a convenient Multiview format.Returning fan-favorites from the Paris Olympics include Gold Zone, Discovery Multiview, Live Actions, interactive schedules, medal trackers, and enhanced search.<\/p>\n

New mobile mini-games add interactivity: Prediction Games for figure skating and ice hockey, a daily Olympics Picks challenge across events, and trivia running from January 24 to February 23.<\/p>\n

New features for the NBA<\/h3>\n

Shifting to basketball, Courtside Live\u2014first teased last year\u2014makes its debut during the innovative U.S. vs. World All-Star Game on February 15 at 5 p.m. ET\/2 p.m. PT, with availability extending to select NBA<\/a> games later in the season.<\/p>\n

This feature immerses viewers in arena culture, offering mobile switches between feeds like \u201cStar Spotlight\u201d for standout players, bench-focused \u201cHome Team\u201d or \u201cAway Team\u201d views, and \u201cHot Highlights\u201d curating plays, interviews, tunnel walks, and celebrity sightings.<\/p>\n

Multiview supports it on TV and web. All-Star Weekend also brings back Can\u2019t Miss Highlights, Peacock ScoreCard, Live in Browse, and Catch Up with Key Plays.<\/p>\n

Super Bowl LX fans on February 8 can enjoy Catch Up with Key Plays and Live Actions to stay on top of the action and explore related content.<\/p>\n
