Tirico is set to call Super Bowl LX, and then immediately he will host the network\u2019s coverage of the XXV Winter Games.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Tirico&#8217;s busy night<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2022, Tirico worked both the Super Bowl and the Winter Olympics on the same night; however, he was hosting events on NBC. This upcoming Super Bowl will be the first for Tirico as the lead play-by-play broadcaster.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Immediately following the Super Bowl LX trophy presentation on the field, he will turn his attention to hosting <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Primetime in Milan<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It will mark the start of Tirico\u2019s fifth Olympic primetime hosting assignment for NBC.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>The month of Tirico<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tirico will miss the first few days of the Winter Olympics, as he prepares to call the Super Bowl. <em>TODAY<\/em> host Savannah Guthrie and NBC Sports broadcaster Terry Gannon will host opening ceremonies on February 6, which is typically hosted by Tirico.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following night on February 7, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Football Night in America<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> host Maria Taylor will fill-in for Tirico, hosting the primetime coverage from Levi\u2019s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., the site of Super Bowl LX.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After Tirico\u2019s big night of calling the Super Bowl, and hosting <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Primetime in Milan<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, he will spend Monday, February 9 taking a travel day to Milan to join the NBC Olympics crew for on-site coverage. Guthrie will host primetime coverage that night while Tirico makes his way to Italy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beginning Tuesday, February 10, Tirico will host the remainder of the network\u2019s primetime Olympics coverage from Milan. Taylor will also begin anchoring late night coverage the same day.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>No Tirico or Taylor on NBA All-Star Game coverage<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With Tirico and Taylor in Italy for the rest of the Winter Olympics, they will not be back stateside in time to work the 2026 NBA All-Star Game on NBC. It will be NBC\u2019s first NBA All-Star Game in their brand-new contract with the league. Noah Eagle will call the NBA All-Star Game in Tirico\u2019s place, while Ahmed Fareed will take over the studio show hosting for Taylor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before the Super Bowl and Olympics madness begins for Tirico and Taylor, they will both be a part of the debut of NBC\u2019s new NBA series, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Basketball Night in Americ<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a on Sunday, February 1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a statement released, NBC Sports President Rick Cordella expressed elation for the network\u2019s plans, saying, \u201cWe are excited to announce these key roles across multiple events as we approach what will be one of the most unique and iconic sports months in media history.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He added, \u201cThese assignments speak to the quality and depth of our roster and the individuals\u2019 diverse skill set and dedication as well as the unprecedented cooperation across NBCUniversal.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NBC Sports\u2019 Mike Tirico will have a busy night on February 8, 2026.
