Anton Lundell should be a top-10 consensus pick. That’s it. That’s the article. It boggles my mind how Lundell could possibly slide out of the top-10 regardless of how strong the draft is. He’s one of the most well-rounded prospects in the draft, already plays against men, and, being one of the oldest prospects, he’s […]

The Detroit Red Wings prospects are going to be key to their turnaround. Detroit finished with a league-worst 17-49-5 record and 39 points. The Red Wings had a mix of aging players and younger pros that lacked experience. There have been glimpses of hope with players like Filip Zadina scoring eight goals in 28 games […]
Late Friday evening, it was reported that the St. Louis Blues were forced to cancel their practices. This comes in the face of multiple positive tests according to The Athletic. The club is said to be expected to keep their training facilities closed for the weekend before reopening on Monday, obviously without those that tested […]
Every sport has a few teams that can’t seem to get out of their own way. In hockey, the Ottawa Senators wear this crown, but the Buffalo Sabres are giving them a run for their money. All the negative press around the Sabres recently got me looking at their painful draft record and wondering, how […]
The NHL hosted Phase One of the NHL Draft Lottery on Friday, June 26th. This was to determine who would get the privilege to select top-ranked Alexis Lafreniere in this year’s upcoming NHL Entry Draft, which was originally supposed to be hosted in Montreal. It was also to see if they would require a Phase […]

Tonight’s 2020 NHL Draft Lottery has come and gone. A placeholder team has emerged as the lucky winners of this year’s first overall pick. As NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly announced, The Detroit Red Wings were tonight’s biggest losers, as they slipped from #1 to #4 overall, missing out on a top-three pick. The Los Angeles Kings moved up into a top-three spot as they look to accelerate their rebuild.
It was announced on Thursday morning that former NHL player Dan Carcillo, along with Garrett Taylor, are spearheading a class-action lawsuit against the Canadian Hockey League. The lawsuit against the league and its teams for alleged abuse while playing junior hockey. If anyone has any questions regarding the class action lawsuit against the @CHLHockey that […]
The Winnipeg Jets have signed goaltender Arvid Holm to a three-year, entry-level deal. The deal will take the newest Jet through the 2022-23 season. They also signed forward Kristian Reichel to a two-year deal. Hockey is nearing its return in North America but teams are still active in signing depth for 2020-21 and beyond. Winnipeg […]

Swedish hockey is taking a massive step forward this year. It has always been a powerhouse hockey country, but this season, it is on another level. In my rankings, there are seven Swedes projected to go in the first round. Of those seven, one forward by the name of Simon Robertsson sticks out. He has […]
The 2021 NHL Draft does not pose the same excitement as the 2020 NHL Draft did. However, there are still plenty of players that teams can build around for the future. There’s another future star goaltender in this class, falling in line with goalies like Spencer Knight and Yaroslav Askarov before him. There are several […]

Everyone was excited when the Colorado Avalanche drafted Bowen Byram. He was the team’s first pick in the loaded 2019 Draft. The Cranbrook, British Columbia native immediately rewarded them with a very good season playing for the WHL’s Vancouver Giants. Byram has joined Colorado’s training camp for the 2020-21 season and could start as soon […]
The Minnesota Wild has announced via Twitter that forward Marco Rossi is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury. The centreman represented Austria at the 2021 World Junior Championship in Edmonton. Carson Lambos is one of many players in the 2021 NHL Draft class who could go first overall. But he’s far from earned the consensus. With so much talent from players like Owen Power, Brandt Clarke, and Matty Beniers, there’s no real favourite this year. And Lambos hasn’t really helped his case much. He managed […]
