All that came crashing down as the <a href=\"http:\/\/nhl.com\/ducks\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anaheim Ducks<\/a> won Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals 5-3.<\/p>\n<h3>Anaheim Ducks Win Game 2 Of Western Conference Finals<\/h3>\n<h5>Comeback Kids<\/h5>\n<p>The Ducks were down 1-0 in the seven game series, now they&#8217;re tied with the Predators as the series shifts to Nashville for games 3 and 4. In Game 2 the Ducks overcame 2-0 and 3-2 deficit&#8217;s to win the game. Their ability to comeback when trailing has been a theme throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs. They were down 2-0 in their second round series against the <a href=\"http:\/\/nhl.com\/oilers\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Edmonton Oilers<\/a>. They also won Game 7 of that series after getting blown out 7-1. This is the first\u00a0time <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/rinnepe01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pekka Rinne<\/a><\/strong> has allowed 4 goals in a game over his last 21 starts. He didn&#8217;t look like the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/rinnepe01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pekka Rinne<\/a> that has shutdown teams so far in the playoffs, including allowing\u00a0a rather soft goal that ended up being the game winner by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/ritchni01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nick Ritchie<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=gibsojo02,gibsojo01&amp;search=John+Gibson&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John Gibson<\/a><\/strong> was interesting. He started off shaky, but as the game went on he looked better and better. The beginning wasn&#8217;t good from Gibson, he looked completely lost on <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/n\/nealja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">James Neal<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;s power play goal.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Johansen sends it down low, Neal tucks it past Gibson\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ES7zPDt4H6s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div class=\"js-tweet-details-fixer tweet-details-fixer\">As the game went on he got better, much better. However, if the Ducks are going to win this series, he is going to have to be stronger and more consistent throughout the game, not just in the second half.<\/div>\n<h5 class=\"js-tweet-details-fixer tweet-details-fixer\">Captain Getz<\/h5>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/getzlry01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan Getzlaf<\/a><\/strong> was the difference maker in the Ducks last series against the Oilers, and continues to be the Ducks best player. In the second period, he lost a foot race with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/f\/forsbfi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Filip Forsberg<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0that lead to a Predators goal.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Arvidsson gets Gibson to bite hard, Forsberg shovels it in\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8bwIzcOguxE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Getzlaf got mad, then he got even.<\/p>\n<p>Ducks coach <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/carlyra01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Randy Carlyle<\/a> moved <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/perryco01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Corey Perry<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/rakelri01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rickard Rakell<\/a><\/strong> off Getzlaf&#8217;s line, and replaced them with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/ritchni01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nick Ritchie<\/a> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kaseon01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ondrej Kase<\/a><\/strong>. Both scored goals, one was the game winner.<\/p>\n<p>The Anaheim Ducks have\u00a0won four games in the postseason after trailing by two or more goals. Also, they have scored three goals in a period for the fourth\u00a0time this postseason. That&#8217;s the most among any team.
