2012:<\/strong> The Los Angeles Kings<\/a> goalie is named Conn Smythe Trophy winner for playoff MVP. He makes 17 saves as the Kings dispatch the New Jersey Devils<\/a>, 6-1, in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final. Quick finishes with a 16-4 record with a 1.41 goals-against average and .946 save percentage.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles blows the deciding game wide open after Rob Scuderi<\/a><\/strong> is boarded by Steve Bernier<\/strong> in the first period. The Kings score three times on the five-minute major to secure their first cup in 45 years. Los Angeles also becomes the first No. 8 seed to win a Stanley Cup. The Kings are also the first team to beat all three top seeds in the conference in the same post-season.<\/p>\n
