We\u2019ll remember the moments that shaped the sport of hockey that happened on this day. Here\u2019s our look at this date in hockey history for May 29th, featuring Brent Seabrook<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Today in Hockey History<\/h2>\n

Brent Seabrook Helps Blackhawks Complete Rally<\/h3>\n

2013:<\/strong> The Chicago Blackhawks<\/a> defeneman scored 3:35 into overtime as they won Game 7, 2-1. Seabrook’s goal helps Chicago rally from three games to one down over the Detroit Red Wings<\/a>. It’s the first time the franchise rallied from that deficit and the 25th time in league history. Chicago wins the Western Conference Semifinal, four games to three.<\/p>\n

Seabrook is the fourth defender to score a Game 7 OT-winner in post-season history. He beats Jimmy Howard<\/a><\/strong> to end the series and Corey Crawford<\/a><\/strong> makes 26 saves in net for Chicago.<\/p>\n

Other Notable Events<\/h3>\n

1991:<\/strong> The Hartford Whalers<\/a> fire head coach Rick Ley<\/a><\/strong>. Hartford replaces him with Jim Roberts<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1992: Pat Burns<\/strong> resigns as head coach of the Montreal Canadiens<\/a> to take the same spot with the Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a>. Toronto boss Tom Watt<\/strong> is reassigned by the Leafs.<\/p>\n

1993: Wayne Gretzky<\/a><\/strong>‘s hat trick helps the Los Angeles Kings<\/a> book their first Stanley Cup Final. Gretzky powers the Kings to a 5-4 Game 7 win over Toronto in the Campbell Conference Final.<\/p>\n

1996: Joe Sakic<\/a><\/strong> scores twice as the Colorado Avalanche<\/a> beat Detroit, 4-1, in Game 6 of the Western Conference Final. Patrick Roy<\/a><\/strong> ties Billy Smith<\/a><\/strong> for playoff appearances by a goal with 123.<\/p>\n

2001:<\/strong> Roy becomes the first goalie to start 100 straight playoff games for one team. He makes 18 saves, but the Avs fall to the New Jersey Devils<\/a>, 2-1, in Game 2 of the Final.<\/p>\n

2014:<\/strong> The New York Rangers<\/a> clinch their first Stanley Cup Final spot since 1994. Dominic Moore<\/a><\/strong> scores in the second period and Henrik Lundqvist<\/a><\/strong> stops 18 shots in a 1-0 Game 6 win over Montreal.<\/p>\n

2015: Ben Bishop<\/a><\/strong> makes 22 saves as the Tampa Bay Lightning<\/a> blank the Rangers, 2-0, in Game 7 of the Eastern Final. Alex Killorn<\/a><\/strong> breaks a scoreless tie in the third period for Tampa.<\/p>\n

2017: Jake Guentzel<\/a><\/strong> scores with 3:17 left in regulation as the Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a> beat the Nashville Predators<\/a> in Game 1 of the Final. Pittsburgh scores five times on 12 shots on goal and goes without a shot in the second period in the 5-3 win.<\/p>\n
