Players such as Wayne Gretzky and one of the best goal scorers like Mario Lemieux have not only been idolized but have shown their extraordinary prowess in the game. If you\u2019ve recently been interested in playing games at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wildz.com\/ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wildz<\/a>, then you may be interested in learning a bit more of hockey history.<\/p>\n<p>So, who is the greatest hockey player of all time? This is a debate that has raged on for ages and will continue to be subject f discussion for many years to come.<\/p>\n<h2>Greatest Hockey Players<\/h2>\n<h3>Bobby Orr<\/h3>\n<p>Orr is known for pioneering the term \u201coffensive defenseman\u201d. Some of the feats he is celebrated for are:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 First player in a season to have 100+ assists<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Winning the Art Ross Trophy<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The only player to win the Art Ross Trophy, Conn Smythe Trophy, Hart Trophy, Norris Trophy all in one season.<\/p>\n<p>Orr is also the first defenseman to score 40+ and 30+ in a single season.<\/p>\n<h3>Gordie Howe<\/h3>\n<p>The four-time champion of the Stanley Cup also won six Hart Trophies. The reason he\u2019s on this list is that he\u2019s the only hockey player in the history of the NHL to compete in five different decades. Also known as Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe also skated together with his sons Mark and Marty.<\/p>\n<p>Gordie has appeared in 1,767 NHL games, a feat no one else has been able to achieve. Mr. Hockey indeed.<\/p>\n<h3>Mario Lemieux<\/h3>\n<p>Despite his size, Mario Lemieux was speedy. Unfortunately, due to illness and injury, \u201cSuper\u201d Mario was not able to have a longer career but was a great player indeed. He was only able to play a little over half of the games his team, the Penguins played.<\/p>\n<p>Over his 21 year career and 17 partial seasons, Lemieux was able to score 1,723 points and 690 goals.<\/p>\n<h3>Wayne Gretzky<\/h3>\n<p>In the history of the game, there hasn\u2019t been a player who has scored more goals and assists put together than Gretzky. He managed to collect 1,963 assists over the span of his 21-year career. His goals alone a total of 894. Other than Mario Lemieux, Gretzky is the only other player to collect 160 points in one season. He managed to pass this mark eight times and the highest he\u2019s gotten in a single season is 215.<\/p>\n<h3>Maurice Richard<\/h3>\n<p>Richard was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1961. During his career, he managed to record 544 markers and 965 points. Also known as \u201cRocket\u201d, he managed to win eight championships within the span of his 18-year career. He was also the first player in the history of the game to get to 50 markers.<\/p>\n<p>This list has not necessarily taken into account orders such as eras the players were in the game, and the kind of competition they faced.
