OTPP: 2017 NHL Trade Deadline Edition<\/h2>\n

Its an extra long edition of On The Power Play as the boys go through all the big news coming out of the 2017 NHL Trade Deadline.<\/p>\n

The biggest move of the deadline was made by the Washington Capitals, who acquired<\/a>\u00a0defenceman Kevin Shattenkirk<\/a><\/strong>. Does this put the Capitals over the top and can they now win the Stanley Cup?<\/p>\n

Out west, the Minnesota Wild were the big movers. They picked up<\/a>\u00a0Martin Hanzal<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>from the Arizona Coyotes. Is this enough for the Wild to come out of the Western Conference. Can they get past the Chicago Blackhawks.<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles Kings picked up<\/a> Ben Bishop<\/a><\/strong> and<\/a> Jarome Iginla<\/a><\/strong>. Does this push them into the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Marc Bergevin<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>was the busiest general manager of the NHL trade deadline. \u00a0What do his moves mean for the Montreal Canadiens and is it enough to win the Atlantic Division.<\/p>\n

The Atlantic was the busiest division at the deadline. \u00a0What do recent moves mean for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers, and Boston Bruins?<\/p>\n

The Vancouver Canucks picked up a pair of solid youngsters<\/a> in Johnathan Dahlen <\/strong>and<\/a>\u00a0Nikolay Goldobin<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>for Alex Burrows<\/strong> and Jannick Hansen<\/strong> respectively. \u00a0Why is this deadline so different from a year ago.<\/p>\n
