Head coach Claude Julien informed the media that Weber suffered a lower-body injury in the game the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/devils\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New Jersey Devils<\/a> on Tuesday night. During the game, Weber blocked a shot, however, the injury is unrelated to that. It is unclear what is exactly ailing Weber. The Canadiens announced he will be out at least a week.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/tatarto01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tomas Tatar<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/poehlry01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan Poehling<\/a> Questionable<\/h3>\n<p>With the flu going around the NHL one of the teams hit hardest has been the Canadiens. The team announced that <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/w\/wealjo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jordan Weal<\/a><\/strong> is out against the Ducks. In addition, Julien announced <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/tatarto01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Tomas Tatar<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/poehlry01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ryan Poehling<\/strong> <\/a>are both questionable with flu-like symptoms.<\/p>\n<h3>Going Forward<\/h3>\n<p>With Weber missing practice on Wednesday, the Canadiens announced they recalled defenceman <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/o\/ouellxa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Xavier Ouellet<\/a><\/strong> from Laval of the AHL. Ouellet will replace Weber in the lineup for at least a week. This is Ouellet&#8217;s first call up of the season. He played 19 games with the Canadiens during the 2018-19 season. In 39 games in the AHL this season, the 26-year-old leads all Rocket defencemen with nine goals and 24 points. and points.<\/p>\n<p>Joining Ouellet in Montreal will be <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/e\/evansja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jack Evans<\/a><\/strong>. Evans was recalled Thursday morning. There is a chance Evans gets into the game on Thursday night with several players questionable to play. In 48 games this season with the Rockets, Evans leads all players with 34 points (12 goals and 22 assists).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the Canadiens received some good news as <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/metevi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Victor Mete<\/a><\/strong> should be back in the lineup Thursday night.
