Gallagher had missed the previous four games with a concussion before returning on Thursday. This isn’t the first time Gallagher has suffered a concussion. He suffered one back in 2013 which forced him to miss three games.

So far this season, Gallagher has scored 15 goals and 17 assists for 32 points to go along with 16 minutes in penalties. His possession numbers are 60.6 percent Corsi and a relative Corsi of +8.5.

Gallagher has spent his entire eight-year career with the Habs. During that time he has put up 166 goals and 157 assists for 323 points in 529 career games. He was originally drafted by the Canadiens in the fifth round, 147th overall in the 2010 NHL Draft.

What This Means for the Future

With Gallagher out of the line-up, the Canadiens will move Ilya Kovalchuk back up to the top line.
