He played nine minutes, 45 seconds in the game. The 24-year-old was out for over a month with a shoulder injury and a concussion.<\/p>\n<p>He was left out of the lineup in Monday&#8217;s 8-6 win over the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/hurricanes\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carolina Hurricanes<\/a> for undisclosed reasons. The team will provide an update on Moore&#8217;s status after Friday night&#8217;s game against New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p>So far this season, Moore has scored three goals and two assists for five points in 22 games. Moore also has four penalty minutes. His possession numbers are 49.9 percent Corsi and a relative Corsi of -4.2.<\/p>\n<p>Over his<i> <\/i>two-year NHL career, Moore has played only for the Maple Leafs. He has five goals and eight assists for 13 career points in 47 career games. Toronto signed Moore as undrafted free agent after he had a standout NCAA career with the University of Denver.<\/p>\n<p>Moore has split time the last couple of seasons with the AHL Toronto Marlies. He scored 23 goals in 46 games last season with the Leafs&#8217; minor league club.<\/p>\n<h2>What This Means for the Future<\/h2>\n<p>Toronto called up defenceman <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/marinma01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Martin Marincin<\/a> <\/strong>and forward <strong>Adam Brooks<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/toronto-maple-leafs-f-trevor-moore-concussion-out-indefinitely-1.1418749\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">from the Marlies<\/a> to fill the roster spot. Moore was trying to regain his roster spot as a bottom-six forward after his injury.<\/p>\n<p>He was working his way up the lineup under former coach Mike Babcock and was part of Shedlon Keefe&#8217;s Calder Cup winning Marlies.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/matthau01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Auston Matthews<\/a><\/strong> told the Toronto Sun that<a href=\"https:\/\/torontosun.com\/sports\/hockey\/trevor-moore-back-in-maple-leafs-lineup\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Moore was missed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cHe\u2019s great, he\u2019s fast, tenacious, makes plays,\u201d Matthews said. \u201cIt\u2019s tough being out for as long as he was, but he\u2019s worked hard to come back and get in shape.
