The Buffalo Sabres<\/a> have announced a total of five skaters being out long-term today. The most significant absence, among other injuries, is that of of Rasmus Dahlin<\/a><\/strong>. The sophomore defenceman will be out indefinitely with a concussion suffered on Monday against the Tampa Bay Lightning<\/a>. Vladimir Sobotka<\/a><\/strong> will be out indefinitely after knee surgery, as well. Forward Evan Rodrigues<\/a><\/strong> will be out week-to-week following a lower-body injury suffered on Sunday. The Sabres list Tage Thompson<\/a><\/strong> and Kyle Okposo<\/a><\/strong> still out indefinitely.<\/p>\n

Rasmus Dahlin Out For Buffalo Sabres<\/h2>\n

The last few weeks haven’t been encouraging for the Sabres. They’ve had to deal with another long list of unpleasant injuries. Rasmus Dahlin, the Sabres’ first-overall draft choice from 2018, has been a solid blueliner in his sophomore season. In 24 games this season, the Swedish 19-year-old defenceman has recorded 16 points. Dahlin went down on Monday in Tampa Bay following a blatant elbow hit from Erik Cernak<\/a><\/strong>. Cernak has been suspended two games<\/a> for his hit on Dahlin.<\/p>\n

The Sabres’ forward Sobotka will be out indefinitely following his knee surgery. The Czech veteran suffered his lower-body injury in Sweden in a collision with Nikita Kucherov<\/a><\/strong> from the Lightning. Rodrigues left the game on Sunday in Florida in the first period with an apparent lower-body injury and did not return. The Sabres don’t get good news on his injury status, as he will be out for a few weeks.<\/p>\n

Buffalo Faces Tough Injuries Again<\/h3>\n

On the other hand, Marcus Johansson<\/a><\/strong> was back on the ice for Buffalo today. The Swedish winger will be back in the lineup tonight. The Sabres snapped their three-game losing skid on Sunday versus the Florida Panthers.<\/a> They then dropped a decision against the Lightning on Monday. On Wednesday, they will host the Calgary Flames<\/a> at KeyBank Center. The Sabres have had to deal with a multitude of injuries already this season. To lose Dahlin long-term with a\u00a0concussion, it hurts even more.<\/p>\n
