The Coyotes got goals from <strong>Jakob <\/strong><\/span><strong>Chychrun<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hinosvi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Vinnie Hinostroza<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/grabnmi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael Grabner<\/a>.<\/strong> However, Arizona couldn\u2019t keep Minnesota from making a late-game surge.\u00a0 The Coyotes did outshoot the Wild, 35-24, but couldn\u2019t get the goals to show for it. Arizona\u2019s <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">defence<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> is one of the better ones in the league with a 2.41 goals-against average, which is second in the NHL. However, are 20<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> in goals for with 2.82 scored per game. The only weakness in the Coyotes\u2019 defensive <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">armour<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> is they are only 78.4 percent successful on the penalty kill. Arizona is 20<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> on the power play with a 16.7 percent conversion rate. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/schmani01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nick Schmaltz<\/a><\/strong> leads the team in points with 15, 11 of which are assists. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kuempda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Darcy Kuemper<\/a><\/strong> has seen the lion\u2019s share of time in net this season.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Washington is coming off a 5-2 victory over the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/knights\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> in a rematch of the 2018 Stanley Cup Final. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/backsni02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nicklas Backstrom<\/a><\/strong> scored twice and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/holtbbr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Braden Holtby<\/a> <\/strong>stopped 30 shots for the Capitals. It\u2019s been a good stretch for the Caps, as they\u2019ve won six straight games. Washington leads the league with 4.06 goals scored per game and have given up 3.06 goals per game, which is good for 18<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. The Senators have taken three of their last four games and gotten a lot of help from <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/pageaje01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jean-Gabriel Pageau<\/a><\/strong>, who leads the team in points with 12 and goals with eight. However, the Senators are only 1-5-1 in games away from the Canadian Tire Centre. The Hurricanes have been without Erik <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Haula<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">defence<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> has been through some struggles as of late. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Haula<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> didn\u2019t make the trip to Ottawa and it could be a long-term issue. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/svechan01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Andrei Svechnikov<\/strong><\/a> provided the only goal for Carolina in the loss and has two goals and two assists in his last five games.
