Today we\u2019ll cover the two games happening on November 11th, which is Veterans Day in the U.S. and Remembrance Day in Canada. This will include a featured game that should be must-watch hockey. The featured game today is the Arizona Coyotes<\/a> vs Washington Capitals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Arizona Coyotes vs Washington Capitals<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Coyotes 0-0 Capitals<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Arizona is on a three-game losing streak after falling 4-3 to the Minnesota Wild<\/a> on Saturday. The Coyotes got goals from Jakob <\/strong><\/span>Chychrun<\/strong>, Vinnie Hinostroza<\/a><\/strong> and Michael Grabner<\/a>.<\/strong> However, Arizona couldn\u2019t keep Minnesota from making a late-game surge.\u00a0 The Coyotes did outshoot the Wild, 35-24, but couldn\u2019t get the goals to show for it. Arizona\u2019s <\/span>defence<\/span> is one of the better ones in the league with a 2.41 goals-against average, which is second in the NHL. However, are 20<\/span>th<\/span> in goals for with 2.82 scored per game. The only weakness in the Coyotes\u2019 defensive <\/span>armour<\/span> is they are only 78.4 percent successful on the penalty kill. Arizona is 20<\/span>th<\/span> on the power play with a 16.7 percent conversion rate. Nick Schmaltz<\/a><\/strong> leads the team in points with 15, 11 of which are assists. Darcy Kuemper<\/a><\/strong> has seen the lion\u2019s share of time in net this season.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Washington is coming off a 5-2 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> in a rematch of the 2018 Stanley Cup Final. Nicklas Backstrom<\/a><\/strong> scored twice and Braden Holtby<\/a> <\/strong>stopped 30 shots for the Capitals. It\u2019s been a good stretch for the Caps, as they\u2019ve won six straight games. Washington leads the league with 4.06 goals scored per game and have given up 3.06 goals per game, which is good for 18<\/span>th<\/span>. The Capitals\u2019 special teams are great as the power play is fifth at 25 percent and the penalty kill is seventh at 85.1 percent. John Carlson<\/a><\/strong> leads Washington in points with 28, including 20 assists. Carl <\/strong><\/span>Hagelin<\/strong> will be out for the game on Monday.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Arizona has only won three of its last 12 games against the Metropolitan Division while Washington has taken its last five at home. The Caps should keep things going against the Yotes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Prediction: Capitals win 4-1.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ottawa Senators vs Carolina Hurricanes<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Senators 1-0 Hurricanes<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Ottawa Senators<\/a> came up with a 4-1 win<\/a> over the Carolina Hurricanes<\/a> on Saturday in the first part of a home-and-home set between the two clubs. Anders Nilsson<\/a><\/strong> made 38 saves as Ottawa picked up the victory. The Senators have taken three of their last four games and gotten a lot of help from Jean-Gabriel Pageau<\/a><\/strong>, who leads the team in points with 12 and goals with eight. However, the Senators are only 1-5-1 in games away from the Canadian Tire Centre. Ottawa might be thin at the <\/span>centre<\/span> position as Artem Anisimov<\/a><\/strong> and Logan Brown<\/a><\/strong> are on injured reserve.<\/span><\/p>\n

Carolina comes limping into the rematch with Ottawa with four straight losses. The Hurricanes have been without Erik <\/span>Haula<\/span> and the <\/span>defence<\/span> has been through some struggles as of late. <\/span>Haula<\/span> didn\u2019t make the trip to Ottawa and it could be a long-term issue. Andrei Svechnikov<\/strong><\/a> provided the only goal for Carolina in the loss and has two goals and two assists in his last five games. Head coach Rod Brind\u2019Amour<\/strong> has challenged his team to step up and will start Petr Mrazek<\/a><\/strong> in net.<\/span> Dougie Hamilton<\/a><\/strong> leads the team in points with 18, including seven goals. The injured Haula still leads in goals with eight markers.

The Hurricanes started off hot but have cooled off. However, the Senators have struggled at the PNC Arena and lost two of three meetings last season. Expect Carolina to bounce back in the friendly confines.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
