For the Tampa Bay Lightning, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hedmavi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Victor Hedman<\/a> <\/strong>is the only Swedish player on the roster and is looking good for a return from the injured reserve.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keep your eyes open for this matchup. Buffalo has surpassed the wildest expectations of most fans and spectators of hockey with their strong start to the year. Sitting in second place in the Atlantic Division, the Sabres are looking like they are built to win hockey games. Tampa Bay, on the other hand, has been a far cry from where they were a year ago, with a meagre six wins on the year through 13 games.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: Buffalo wins 3-2.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boston Bruins vs. Detroit Red Wings<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Head-to-Head: Boston 0-0 Detroit<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/bruins\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston Bruins<\/a> have looked every bit as dominant this year as they did last year. This team is still hungry for a championship after a heartbreaking game seven loss in the Stanley Cup Final last season. The &#8220;Perfection Line&#8221; of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/bergepa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Patrice Bergeron<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/pastrda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">David Pastrnak<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/marchbr03.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brad Marchand<\/a> <\/strong>are determined to get them back to the Finals. They have been the unstoppable force for Boston\u2019s offence this season and they should continue that against Detroit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After a tough road loss to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/rangers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Rangers<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/red-wings\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Detroit Red Wings<\/a> look to bounce back at home. Boston will be a tough matchup for this team, as Detroit sits near the bottom of the standings. Something Red Wings fans will want to keep their eyes on is the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/11\/07\/st-louis-blues-trade-robby-fabbri-detroit-red-wings\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">addition of centre<\/a> <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/f\/fabbrro01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Robby Fabbri<\/a><\/strong>. In his fourth NHL season, Fabbri has struggled to some extent and <strong>Steve Yzerman<\/strong> is likely hoping to turn around the career of the former first-rounder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: Boston wins 5-1.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vancouver Canucks vs. Winnipeg Jets<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Head-to-Head: Vancouver 0-0 Winnipeg<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many knew the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/canucks\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vancouver Canucks<\/a> were on the rise. The additions of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/myersty01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tyler Myers<\/a> <\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/millejt01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">J.T. Miller<\/a> <\/strong>would bring this team up a notch. On the backs of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/petteel01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Elias Pettersson<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/boesebr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brock Boeser<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/horvabo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bo Horvat<\/a><\/strong>, Vancouver has risen to a 9-3-3 record to this point in the season. The Canucks have exceeded expectations this season and look strong enough to steal a win in Winnipeg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Losing <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/byfugdu01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dustin Byfuglien<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0hurt the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/jets\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Winnipeg Jets<\/a> and everyone knew it would. But Winnipeg has looked like a shadow of the team that was a major contender in the Western Conference. It is still early in the season and they have time to turn things around (see 2018-19 St. Louis Blues), but that needs to start sooner than later. They need wins in the big games and this is one of them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: Vancouver wins 2-1.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Jersey Devils vs. Edmonton Oilers<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Head-to-Head: New Jersey 0-1 Edmonton<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The turnaround for the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/devils\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New Jersey Devils<\/a> over the last few seasons has been incredible. They went from playoff team to worst in the league in just one offseason and stayed at the bottom last season as well. Things do not look much better this year, as they sit at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division. With the likely loss of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=hallta02,hallta01&amp;search=Taylor+Hall&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Taylor Hall<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in the coming months, things look bleak for the Devils.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/oilers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Edmonton Oilers<\/a> have won the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/n\/nealja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">James Neal<\/a><\/strong>&#8211;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/lucicmi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Milan Lucic<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0trade from what we have seen so far. While Neal\u2019s production has slowed since the start of the season, he has looked much better than Lucic. Add in the fact that he plays on a team with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mcdavco01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Connor McDavid<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/d\/draisle01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Leon Draisaitl<\/a><\/strong>, Edmonton looks primed for a playoff run, as they sit near the top of the standings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: Edmonton wins 5-2.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That does it for NHL predictions for today\u2019s slate of games.
