It\u2019s time once again for our NHL <\/span>rumours<\/span>. We\u2019re into the month of November and teams are finding out where they\u2019re going to stack up. Some general managers are trying to kickstart bad starts to the season. However, some are trying to plan for down the road. Today\u2019s NHL <\/span>rumours<\/span> will focus on the Chicago Blackhawks<\/a>, San Jose sharks<\/a> and veterans like Jason Pominville<\/a><\/strong> and Thomas Vanek<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NHL Rumours<\/h2>\n

Chicago Blackhawks<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Rumour: Jimmy Greenfield of the Chicago Tribune thinks that the Blackhawks<\/a> should deal defenceman Erik Gustafsson<\/strong> to help the team\u2019s rebuild along. Gustafsson is coming off a career-high 60-point season but has struggled this season. He was recently a healthy scratch for Chicago and Adam Boqvist<\/strong> was called up over the weekend.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The 27-year-old becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and will likely want a raise from his $1.2 million salary. He\u2019s a left-handed shot that could get a handsome return.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Analysis: <\/span>Boqvist<\/span> scored his first NHL goal over the weekend and he could be here to stay. This mean\u2019s <\/span>Gustafsson<\/span>\u2019s spot in the lineup could tenuous. Chicago also has prospects like Ian Mitchell<\/strong> and Nicolas Beaudin<\/strong> itching to get an opportunity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Blackhawks are giving their youth a chance like calling up Kirby Dach<\/a> <\/strong>and <\/span>Boqvist<\/span> getting a shot in the big leagues after just six games in AHL Rockford. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The arguments to keep <\/span>Gustafsson<\/span> are starting to fade after his early-season struggles. <\/span>Gustafsson<\/span> has been taken off the power play and Jeremy <\/span>Colliton<\/span> said that the Swede won\u2019t immediately get his spot back.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

General manager Stan Bowman could get some needed prospects or draft picks, but he may wait to make a deal in case Gustafsson<\/span> can pull himself out of his funk.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

San Jose Sharks<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Rumour: Curtis Pashelka of the San Jose Mercury News speculated on if general manager Doug Wilson<\/a> will make some type of move<\/a> to help the floundering Sharks. They were 4-10-1 and at the bottom of the Western Conference standings as of Monday.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Pashelka said that Wilson has made big moves in the past to jumpstart a flailing team. He points to 2005 when the team acquired Joe Thornton<\/a><\/strong> from the Boston Bruins. That move certainly worked out for the club.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
