As we go through the Summer of 2019 LWOH will be featuring a team-by-team look at the top prospects in the NHL. We will be following the order of the first round of the NHL draft (as if there were no traded draft picks) and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019-top-shelf-prospects\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">you can find all the articles here<\/a>.\u00a0 Since we had an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019-nhl-entry-draft-headquarters\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">extensive NHL Draft preview<\/a>, we will not be reviewing the players who were drafted in the 2019 draft, as there have been no games since then, and our reports on them will not have changed. Today, we look at the 2019 Organizational Prospect Rankings.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-13542 td-animation-stack-type0-2\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2017\/07\/Top-Shelf-Prospects.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"107\"><em>What we will be doing is linking you to those articles, as well as taking a look at prospects that were acquired before this year\u2019s draft; their progress, and their chances of making the 2019-20 roster of the NHL team in question. We will also bring you one sleeper pick \u2013 a player who was either drafted in the 4th-round or later, or was an undrafted free agent signing who we pick as our dark horse to make the NHL. For those wondering, the cut-off for what is or isn\u2019t a prospect is typically about 50 NHL games played (including playoff games) or is 25 years old. He the star of what is a strong group up the middle that also includes <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/18\/ryan-suzuki-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ryan Suzuki<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Morgan Geekie<\/strong>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/05\/12\/jamieson-rees-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Jamieson Rees<\/strong><\/a>. While the Hurricanes only have one elite prospect, what they have is enviable depth of very good prospects, beyond even the top 10 we reviewed. Defenceman <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/beanja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jake Bean<\/a><\/strong> is NHL ready but seems to be stuck behind the Hurricanes strong defensive group. The team also has <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/05\/05\/anttoni-honka-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Antonni Honka<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Chase Priskie<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mckeoro01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Roland McKeown<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Domenick Fensore<\/strong>, and <strong>Luke Martin<\/strong>. Wingers include <strong>Julien Gauthier<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kuokkja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Janne Kuokkanen<\/a><\/strong>,<strong> Stelio Mattheos, <\/strong>and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/05\/16\/patrik-puistola-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Patrik Puistola<\/strong><\/a>. Goaltender\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/n\/nedelal01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alex Nedeljkovic<\/a> <\/strong>will soon push for a roster spot, while newly drafted <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/06\/06\/pyotr-kochetkov-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Pyotr Kochetkov<\/strong><\/a> was one of this draft&#8217;s top goalie prospects.<\/p>\n<h3>9.) <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/07\/29\/anaheim-ducks-prospects-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anaheim Ducks<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>With <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/e\/eavespa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Patrick Eaves<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/keslery01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan Kesler<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>out for the season, the time is now for the Ducks young forwards to carry some of the burdens in the NHL. Luckily the Ducks have a number of young forwards ready to do so in <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/steelsa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sam Steel<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/terrytr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Troy Terry<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong>Maxime Comtois<\/strong>. First-round pick <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/07\/trevor-zegras-scouting-report-2019-nhl-draft-8\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Trevor Zegras<\/strong><\/a> and 2018 draftee <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/lundeis01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Isac Lundestrom<\/a><\/strong> are not far behind. There is further depth in <strong>Brendan Tracey<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/j\/jonesma03.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Max Jones<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Antoine Morand<\/strong> and <strong>Jack Kopacka<\/strong>. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/guhlebr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brendan Guhle<\/a> <\/strong>is close to being ready on the blueline but his upside is a question mark The most talented Ducks defenders aren&#8217;t quite as close to being in the NHL but <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mahurjo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Josh Mahura<\/a><\/strong> and <strong>Henry Thrun<\/strong> are talented. <strong>Lukas Dostal<\/strong> is a quality goaltending prospect.<\/p>\n<h3>8.) <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/07\/17\/new-jersey-devils-prospects-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Jersey Devils<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>First overall pick <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hugheja02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jack Hughes<\/a><\/strong> could become a franchise-changing player. He will be supported up front by <strong>Jesper Boqvist<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/a\/anderjo08.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Joey Anderson<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mcleomi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael McLeod<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong>Aarne Talvitie<\/strong>. On defence, <strong>Ty Smith<\/strong> could become a top-notch puck mover. He has a ton of offensive skill. <strong>Reilly Walsh<\/strong> and newly drafted <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/06\/19\/daniil-misyul-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Daniil Misyul<\/strong><\/a> provide blueline depth. Goaltender <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/blackma01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MacKenzie Blackwood<\/a><\/strong> is ready to compete for the Devils top job.<\/p>\n<h3>7.) <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/07\/20\/chicago-blackhawks-prospects-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chicago Blackhawks<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Blackhawks are extremely deep and talented on defence with <strong>Adam Boqvist<\/strong>, <strong>Nicolas Beaudin<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ian Mitchell<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/24\/alex-vlasic-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alex Vlasic<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong>Lucas Carlsson<\/strong>. They drafted a high-end centre prospect in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/05\/kirby-dach-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kirby Dach<\/a><\/strong>. Fellow centre <strong>Evan Barrett<\/strong> improved his status with a big season at Penn State. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/sikurdy01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dylan Sikura<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/n\/nordgni01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Niklas Nordgren<\/a><\/strong> are quality wingers. <strong>Alex Nylander<\/strong> was acquired from the Sabres. He is extremely talented but has not yet put it together at the professional level. The Hawks hope he benefits from the change of scenery, ala <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/stromdy01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dylan Strome<\/a><\/strong> last season. In goal, <strong>Alexis Gravel<\/strong> is the top prospect in the system.<\/p>\n<h3>6.) <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/07\/22\/los-angeles-kings-prospects-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los Angeles Kings<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Kings are strong up the middle with <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/06\/alex-turcotte-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Alex Turcotte<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Rasmus Kupari<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/a\/anderja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jaret Anderson-Dolan<\/a><\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Akil Thomas<\/strong>. They could be even better is <strong>Gabriel Vilardi<\/strong> can finally get over his back issues. On the wings, they are supported by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/14\/arthur-kaliyev-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arthur Kaliyev<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/05\/23\/samuel-fagemo-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Samuel Fagemo<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/grundca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carl Grundstrom<\/a><\/strong>. In net <strong>Cal Peterson<\/strong> should push <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/j\/johnsja02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jack Johnson<\/a><\/strong> for the backup job. The blueline features <strong>Kale Clague<\/strong>, <strong>Tobias Bjornfot<\/strong>, <strong>Mikey Andersson<\/strong>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2018\/05\/25\/sean-durzi-scouting-report-2018-nhl-draft-59\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Sean Durzi<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>5.) <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/07\/31\/vancouver-canucks-prospects\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vancouver Canucks<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hughequ01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quinn Hughes<\/a><\/strong> is one of the best skating prospects in the world. He should make an immediate impact on the Canucks blueline. <strong>Olli Juolevi<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jett Woo<\/strong> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/brisegu01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Guillaume Brisebois<\/a> should not be far behind.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/02\/vasili-podkolzin-scouting-report-2019-nhl-draft-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> <strong>Vasili Podkolzin<\/strong><\/a> was third in our draft rankings. The fact that he has a two-year commitment in the KHL dropped him down on draft days, but the Canucks may have a steal here. <strong>Nils Hoglander<\/strong> and <strong>Tyler Madden<\/strong> provide support upfront. The lack of a top-six centre prospect is the main flaw in the system (although it is mitigated by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/petteel01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Elias Pettersson<\/a><\/strong>, who\u00a0is considered graduated and does not factor into this ranking). Few teams have as good a one-two punch in goal as the Canucks with <strong>Michael DiPietro<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/d\/demkoth01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Thatcher Demko<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>4.) <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/08\/18\/montreal-canadiens-prospects-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Montreal Canadiens<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>What a season it was for Habs prospects. <strong>Nick Suzuki<\/strong> was the OHL Playoff MVP. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/poehlry01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan Poehling<\/a><\/strong> was World Junior MVP and scored a hat-trick (plus a shootout winner) in his first NHL game. <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockeyprospects.com\/2019\/04\/15\/cole-caufield-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Cole Caufield<\/strong><\/a> was the IIHF Under-18 MVP. He set records for most goals in the tournament and most goals with the US NTDP. <strong>Alexander Romanov<\/strong> was the top defenceman at the World Juniors. <strong>Josh Brook<\/strong> led all WHL defencemen in scoring and was on the league&#8217;s 1st All-Star Team. <strong>Cayden Primeau<\/strong> was named the NCAA&#8217;s top goalie. <strong>Jesse Ylonen<\/strong> won a gold medal at the World Juniors. <strong>Joel Teasdale<\/strong> led the QMJHL in playoff scoring and was the Memorial Cup MVP. Add in solid seasons from <strong>Cale Fleury<\/strong>, <strong>Jake Evans<\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/j\/juulsno01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Noah Juulsen<\/a><\/strong> and the Habs have arguably the deepest group in the NHL with quality at all positions.<\/p>\n<h3>3.) <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/08\/03\/philadelphia-flyers-prospects-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Philadelphia Flyers<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hartca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carter Hart<\/a><\/strong> is our top goaltending prospect and looked good in his first NHL season. He has a strong group of defenders in front of him with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/myersph01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Philippe Myers<\/a> <\/strong>ready for NHL duty and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/12\/cam-york-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Cam York<\/strong><\/a> picked at 14th overall. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/morinsa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Samuel Morin<\/a><\/strong> is looking to get past injury issues and also take a spot in the NHL. Upfront, <strong>Morgan Frost<\/strong> put up a huge final season in the OHL, scoring 109 points in 58 games. Wingers <strong>Joel Farabee<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/27\/bobby-brink-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bobby Brink<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Isaac Ratcliffe<\/strong>, and <strong>Wade Allison<\/strong> also provide scoring potential. This group is a bit top-heavy as it lacks depth, but the elite talent of those prospects more than makes up for it.<\/p>\n<h3>2.) <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/08\/19\/colorado-avalanche-prospects-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Colorado Avalanche<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cale Makar<\/strong> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/03\/bowen-byram-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Bowen Byram<\/strong><\/a> are two of the top defence prospects in the world. Makar won the Hobey Baker Award and was impressive in the playoffs. Byram was the top defenceman in the 2019 Draft and was given the CHL Top Draft Prospect Award. He is an early favourite for the Calder Trophy. They are joined by <strong>Conor Timmins<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/gravery01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan Graves<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/06\/07\/drew-helleson-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Drew Helleson<\/strong><\/a>, and <strong>Nicholas Meloche<\/strong> to form the strongest defence prospect group in the league. The team also has highly skilled forwards in <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/19\/alex-newhook-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Alex Newhook<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>Martin Kaut<\/strong>. They are supported by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kamenvl01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vladislav Kamenev<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Shane Bowers,<\/strong> and <strong>Igor Shvyryov<\/strong> upfront. The team could use a top goaltending prospect.<\/p>\n<h3>1.) <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/07\/18\/new-york-rangers-prospects-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">New York Rangers<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Second overall pick <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/01\/kaapo-kakko-scouting-report-2019-nhl-draft-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Kaapo Kakko<\/strong><\/a> is the crown jewel of the group, but there are a number of elite talents in the group. 2018 first-round pick <strong>Vitali Kravtsov<\/strong> had a strong season in the KHL and makes his way to the Rangers. Swedish centre <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/a\/anderli01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lias Andersson<\/a><\/strong> comes in just under our criteria for what qualifies as a prospect. Also coming to North America is one of the top goalie prospects from the KHL in <strong>Igor Shestyorkin<\/strong>. He will have to compete with fellow Russian goalie prospect <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/georgal01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alexandar Georgiev<\/a><\/strong>.
