This week’s Real Hockey Talk show takes place at Twisted Italian<\/a> restaurant in Peoria, AZ. Along with Dave Isaac, Greg Isaac<\/a>,\u00a0Ed Cole<\/strong>\u00a0from KDUS 1060AM, and\u00a0William Grigsby from lastwordonhockey.com\u00a0<\/a>this is podcast #14 for your listening pleasure.<\/p>\n

This location holds a special place in William’s memory as this was the location of his first Real Hockey Talk show as a guest. Since then, he has now become a regular co-host on the show.<\/p>\n

Dave’s This Day in NHL History<\/h3>\n

Dave covers some examples of what happened in the NHL on September 14th in years past. As has been in the past, Greg is spot on with his responses… and William is NOT.<\/p>\n

Dave then covers his Pacific Division predictions from NHL.com writers. Six out of nine predicted that the Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> would win the division. The\u00a0 Calgary Flames<\/a> were chosen the second most.<\/p>\n

Mitch Marner Signs<\/h3>\n

We then cover the RFA signings with the largest signing being that of Mitch Marner<\/strong> <\/a>of the Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a> agreeing to a six-year $65.4 million deal. So, the drama with Marner is over but others who have not signed still remain in question. Will Brayden Point<\/strong> <\/a>get Marner level money?<\/p>\n

Ed Cole Joins the Show<\/h3>\n

Ed Cole, who covers the Arizona Cardinals<\/strong> for KDUS He knows his football and he comments on the ASU<\/strong> football team and their chances. The game was being televised at the Twisted Italian and the Sun Devils were leading 3-0, until Michigan State<\/strong> was able to score a touchdown making it 7-3.<\/p>\n

Real Baseball Talk<\/h3>\n

Ed chats with Greg about the Houston Astros<\/strong>, and the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/strong> chances of going to the World Series. Listen in if you are a baseball fan.<\/p>\n

Real Movie Talk<\/h3>\n

One of what has become a regular off hockey topic we cover movies like “Hustlers” (which Dave saw and recommends), “Ad Astra” with Brad Pitt is opening on Friday the 20th. We also all anticipate the opening of “Joker” to be released next month.<\/p>\n

Prospects, Cup Prediction<\/h3>\n

Dave covers the Anaheim Ducks<\/a> prospects and how the Edmonton Oilers<\/a> may do. Will Connor McDavid<\/strong> <\/a>and Leon Draisaitl<\/strong><\/a> be enough to get them back to respectability?<\/p>\n

Then, William makes the bold Stanley Cup Prediction for who will be playing in the Final and you’ll really want to hear his prediction. William also attended the Arizona Coyotes<\/a> training camp practice before the show. He reported that Phil Kessel<\/strong><\/a> in a Coyotes uniform looked great and he so did he. Conor Garland<\/strong><\/a>, Brad Richardson<\/strong><\/a>, and Michael Grabner<\/strong><\/a> all caught his attention.<\/p>\n

Brian Joins the Show<\/h3>\n

Brian, the owner of Twisted Italian joins us to fill everyone in on all the great food and specials that the restaurant offers. They even have a Sunday breakfast with the NFL games being broadcast live. It’s a great dining experience we think you’ll enjoy.<\/p>\n
