He dealt <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">defenceman<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/subbapk01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong> P.K. Subban<\/strong><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/devils\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New Jersey Devils<\/a> in order to make room for another offensive player. Forsberg and Arvidsson did miss parts of the season with injuries. However, he struggled last season and there were talks of moving him. Turris did rebound with a solid IIHF World Championships for Team Canada. Head coach <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/laviope01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Peter Laviolette<\/a><\/strong> will give him a chance to see if he can still be a viable second-line option.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Granlund came over at the trade deadline from the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/wild\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Minnesota Wild<\/a> in exchange for <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/f\/fialake01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Fiala<\/a>.<\/strong> The Finn scored only once in 16 regular-season games and only once in the post-season. The Hartford, Conn. Native scored 17 goals for the team and that would be very solid for a third-line pivot.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Smith comes into the final year of his contract looking to get himself another mid to long-term deal. He makes $4.25 million and netted 21 goals and 17 assists last season. There are players like <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Tolvanen<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> trying to get a spot on the team. Smith will want to put together a great season to solidify his pla<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ce on a new team. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Jarnkrok<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> is a very underrated player that does a lot of little things right. He\u2019s an excellent team player and is the perfect complimentary teammate.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Fourth Line<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This is<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/03\/19\/colton-sissons-nashville-predators\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> one of the better fourth-liners<\/a> in the league. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Sissons<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> may have a long-term deal and he\u2019s more than earned it. He\u2019s come in with very timely goals and is willing to go into the dirty areas to get pucks. The North Vancouver, British Columbia is an anchor in that bottom six.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Waston looks to be <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/03\/18\/austin-watson-reinstated-to-nashville-predators\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">coming out the other side of a dark 2018-19 season.<\/a> He was suspended and went through the league\u2019s rehab program. The Ann Arbor, Mich. native was missed for defensive play and ability to chip in a goal or two when needed.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Grimaldi was the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2019\/04\/30\/rocco-grimaldi-should-nashville-predators\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">team\u2019s leading goal-scorer<\/a> in the playoffs with three. He worked his way up from the AHL and got a spot on the team. He\u2019s a high-motor player that can what\u2019s asked of him. The former University of North Dakota product wants a multi-year deal and a good season will help that.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Tolvanen<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> is trying to justify <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">all of<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> that hype that had him burn an entry-level year two seasons ago. The Swiss blueliner has posted double-digit goals in every full season with the team and tied his career with 15 last season. He\u2019s rounded into a better defensive player, but he needs to pick up his offence.
