Professional\u00a0Analytics<\/h2>\n

Hockey\u2019s newest statistics, otherwise known as hockey analytics have come a long way since their inception in the mid-2000\u2019s, and they are ever growing. Part of that growth involves moving from the Twittersphere into the corporate sphere. With statistics companies on the rise, recently hired Matt Cane gives us the inside scoop on life in professional analytics. We also touch on his work on special teams<\/a>, weighted shots<\/a>, and rebounds<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Matt Cane<\/h2>\n

Matt has quietly been gaining notoriety in hockey\u2019s statistics community. The work he\u2019s put out on his\u00a0blog<\/a>, and at Hockey-Graphs<\/a>\u00a0is excellent, and unlike anything we currently have in the Twittersphere.\u00a0Matt has recently joined the fine analysts at Winner’s View<\/a>, where the video content they put out is both entertaining, and informative.\u00a0You can follow him on Twitter @Cane_Matt<\/a><\/p>\n
