K. Subban<\/strong><\/a> the Central Division in the Western Conference. In the Eastern Conference, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/crosbsi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sidney Crosby<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/priceca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carey Price<\/a><\/strong> will lead the Metropolitan and Atlantic Divisions, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The four captains were selected through fan voting between December 1st and January 2nd.<\/p>\n<p>For three\u00a0of the\u00a0fourcaptains this will be their first All-Star Game in the new 3-on-3 format. McDavid, Crosby and Price all missed last year&#8217;s game due to various injuries. It will be McDavid&#8217;s\u00a0first All-Star Game of his career. Subban attended last year&#8217;s Game, representing his old team, the Montreal Canadians. He won the breakaway title that year.<\/p>\n<p>For Subban, attending the All-Star weekend will be a race against time as he is currently on injured reserve.<\/p>\n<p>The four All-Star Game teams will be made up of players from the four divisions. Each team will feature six forwards, 3 defensemen and two goalies.<\/p>\n<p>The captain are taking over from <b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/tavarjo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John Tavares<\/a><\/b>\u00a0(who took over for <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/o\/ovechal01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alex Ovechkin<\/a><\/strong>),\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kanepa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Patrick Kane<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/j\/jagrja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jaromir Jagr<\/a><\/strong> and fan favorite, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/scottjo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John Scott<\/a><\/strong>, who lead the divisions last year.<\/p>\n<p>The All-Star Game will be hosted by the Los Angeles Kings and played January 27-29. This will be the 62nd NHL All-Star Game.
