The deal is for five years, and the first year completes his eligibility for restricted free agency. The deal has an average annual value of $4.5 million. Also, the deal has a full, no-trade clause for years two and three, and an eight-team, no-trade clause in the final two years. Let’s discuss how he fits into Nashville’s plans going forward as we head towards the 2026-27 campaign and beyond.

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBIKQKI7El" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 3000px; aspect-ratio: 3000/2000;" ></smartframe-embed>

Credit Image: © Mickey Bernal/ZUMA Wire

The #Smashville signed recently acquired 26 y/o F Jack Drury to a 5 year $4.5M cap hit contact

Yr 1: $4M Salary
Yr 2-5: $4.625M Salary

Full NTC Yr 2-3, 8 team NTC Yr 4-5

Deal covers 1 RFA & 4 UFA seasons

Rep'd by Pat Brisson @CAAHockey https://t.co/CTf8fYvxcs

— PuckPedia (@PuckPedia) June 28, 2026

Jack Drury Contract Details After Only Being Recently Acquired by Nashville Predators

The New York, New York product is looking for a strong start in Nashville. Clearly, the Preds professional scouts identified a player that can help them win. Drury is still growing his resume from a career development perspective. Moreover, he has spent his NHL career playing on some very deep lineups. With either the Colorado Avalanche or the Carolina Hurricanes, he has appeared in 44 career Stanley Cup Playoff games so far. The Preds hope that his experience will bring some veteran savvy, mixed with still youthful energy, to boost their bottom-six forward group.

As we bring you Jack Drury contract details, we take a look at his statistics, as in 268 career regular season games, he has 30 goals, 52 assists, for 82 points. He has a career average ice time of 12:56. Furthermore, one of strengths is his faceoff win rate, as he carries a career 57.1% faceoff win percentage. He is a great addition to the bottom of the lineup and can be used in different situations.

We have seen general manager Chris MacFarland try to go with some familiar faces, as he used to be Colorado’s GM. Ross Colton is a player he signed in Colorado, and now has under contract in Nashville. Of course, that includes the trade with Avs general manager Joe Sakic. Nashville is in an interesting position as they try to stay competitive in the Central Division. After a sixth-place finish in 2025-26, their star power will have higher expectations in the future. Otherwise, we could see them become sellers this year.

Main Photo Credit: Stephen R.
